The quality of food produced in and around Leicester is extremely high – you only have to go to your local market, farmer’s market or farm shop to see this. What’s more, many restaurants and cafes are now using locally sourced produce to use and sell as the quality is better than that shipped in from abroad. This is partly driven by a greater awareness from the public about where food has come from and how far it is has come before purchase. The result though is better quality food which people are celebrating more and more.

Later this month, on Sunday 16th November, Leicester Market will be hosting its annual Winter Food Festival. This is a celebration of locally produced food and drink, ranging from fudge, chocolate, ice cream, spices, cheeses, meats and baked delights to Cider, beers and syrups. Not only will you be able to sample food and drink but there will also be demonstrations where you can see professional chefs in action. If this isn’t enough to wet you appetite, there will also be a craft section where you can get Christmas gift ideas as well as live music to entertain you.

If that’s not enough, The Best Of Leicester is going to have a stand there where there will be a competition running for members of the public to win one of FIVE LUXURY CHRISTMAS HAMPERS. This is an excellent opportunity for members of the public to find out what The Best Of does, how it works and how it can be utilised as well as for businesses to come and see how they could benefit from the services offered by The Best Of.
