I feel more focused, self aware and fit. I can now run 5km without a problem. I am more aware of healthy eating since I began Bikram Yoga.
I have a better back, better posture, stronger knees, less problems with wrists after using the computer for long periods of time, and less problems with rapidly falling blood sugar levels.
I have been coming to Bikram since January and have lost 2 stone in that time! I feel so much more toned, breathing better in my other sports and eating a lot purer, more natural foods! I feel fantastic!

The biggest change for me is how much calmer I feel after Bikram. My work is fast paced, in a pressured environment. Sometimes I arrive in the worst mood possible! Bikram ALWAYS turns me around and seems to give me what I need - whatever that is. How good is Bikram yoga? I drive 1 hour and 15 mins to get here after a long day - that's how good Bikram is!

After being diagnosed with an overactive thyroid in 2005, I was dosed up on medication that seemed to produce more negative side effects than benefits.In 2006, a friend told me to go and give Bikram a go, because it's known to help control the thyroid gland.I knew my condition was aggravated by stress and as I lead a hectic lifestyle I thought I'd give it a go - I had nothing to lose!From day one, I absolutely loved it! Whenever I enter the studio, I leave my stresses and strains at the door.I found the classes physically challenging, but mentally uplifting and with the continual support and encouragement of the studio's team. Three months on, I found myself sitting in front of my doctor, asking him to allow me to come off my medication.I had to have blood tests every six weeks to monitor my condition, as my doctor was concerned that any improvement would be short-lived. Three years on and I'm still off the medication.What's more, I have yet to leave a class without feeling much better than when I walked in.
I came to Bikram Yoga with thyroid problems. It's now three years since I've needed to take any medication for it!

But as I stepped into my first class, all that was to change.I attended my first Bikram yoga class in May 2007. I walked into my first class with an open mind as I had never practised yoga before.Looking back, I was nervous, self-conscious and I hid at the back of the class not knowing anyone or what to expect. Libby taught my first class and was welcoming and encouraging.Although I found the class challenging and I was shocked by the heat, I went on to complete 8 out of my first 10 days.I was drawn to yoga to find peace of mind during a tough spell in my life, but I was also pleasantly surprised at the benefits the classes had on my physical health and well-being.I no longer spend tedious hours on the treadmill; I crave healthy nutritious food which has kept my weight at a healthy level since starting Bikram.And ladies - it’s the best tummy toner after babies! I'm a more confident, focused and a less crazy person thanks to Bikram. I can’t imagine my life without it - it's fab! Thank you so much, Libby, Rachel, Sharan and Chris… you saved my life!
Yoga has changed my life. In the last 6 months I have lost a stone, toned up, my confidence has increased, my energy levels have soared as has my mood, sense of wellbeing and happiness! The euphoria after class frames the whole of the rest of my day. Yoga has increased my sense of patience, focus and possibly wisdom! I am more emotionally in touch with myself and others and feel more integrated. Big thanks
A friend recommended Bikram Yoga to me 3 months ago. I have never done anything like it before, but gave it a go. I wont lie here - my first class was horrible! I hadnt eaten properly before I went so once I started the class I felt nausious and dizzy - this meant I spent a lot of the class lying down! But I did stay in the room and I was desperate to get back to another class to try again. Libby told me where I had gone wrong and two days later I went back after eating properly and drinking lots of water - the class was amazing. I have continued going and try to do 3 classes a week. I used to suffer with lower back pain every morning but this has disappeared! I feel great and know its all down to a few Yoga classes a week. I would recommend this to anyone - just make sure you stick at it if at first you think its not for you!
What a fantastic experience this was. I have not done yoga before but once I met Libby and her team I was persuaded to give it a try. My biggest worry was that I hadn't done very much exercise over the last few years either. The hot room idea made sense but I was worried I would pull a muscle or something. The yoga teachers were great and you only have to do what you can manage. No aches and pains and suprisingly more energy than I have had in years. I would recommend Bikram Yoga to anyone in Leicester it's great fun.
