The Market Harborough Carnival this Saturday 13th June is set to be the best ever. Businesses in and around the town have really got involved this year and made an extra special effort to let people know they care.
The carnival is all about raising money for local charities whilst having a great time! Sandersons Transport based in Market Harborough have been providing the floats free for many years and this year demand outstripped supply, they have never had so many requests for floats as they have this year.
The Market Harborough Chamber of Trade and Commerce have encouraged their members to get involved and as a result two of the floats are from the businesses they represent so look out for the banners on the back of the trailers.
"We felt that in times like these it is important for the local businesses to be seen by the local people and this is one of the best ways for them to do this. Many of the business owners in Market Harborough live in the area and are a part of the social community as well as the business community. We are all very excited about the day which is being organised by The Market Harborough
Carnival Committee who are doing a sterling job as always and we are happy to support the event"
There will be plenty to do on the day with the local radio station HFM out on the road with people coming into the town and the scenes at Welland Park after the parade should be amazing as the show ground comes to life.
