Well this goes to show that the life of a local marketeer is never as straight forward as it may seem.
After having a great meeting with a Leicester letting agency I popped into Christopher Scotney's in time for my 11.30 meeting with Chris and Duncan. Things were going great as they are really nice people and it became obvious that they were focussed on the service they offered to their customers no matter what their purchase was.
The range of menswear that is on offer is staggering with everything from Hugo Boss to Giorgio Armani and the suit hire service is extra special as I was about to find out.
I leant over to pick up my laptop and I'm not sure if having an office above Wesses Bakery had anything to do with it but there was a very loud Riiiippp!Sound as the seam of my trousers tore open for about 8 inches in the most embarassing place.
What do you do in this situation? Luckily Christopher Scotney's owners have a sense of humour and also a sense of compassion as they immediately suggested I try on a pair of their suit hire trousers. Without a pause they selected the size which was spot on as they are experienced in such things. They then took my trousers upstairs to their alterations department and repaired them in a matter of minutes by their skilled staff.
The moral of this little tale is that if you are going to have an accident of this kind make sure you are in a place that can help you straight away !!
I must say caring and understanding people is an understatement for the owners and staff of Christopher Scotney's is an understatement.
Thanks you saved me from a great deal of embarassement as I would have had to walk back to the car and drive home.
