Had lunch here last week. Telephoned previously to find out details of menu. Was told they could not say what lunch menu would be. Pressed for details and was told it changed daily. Asked if soups/paninis/sandwiches etc would be available. It was really difficult to draw any information out of the uninterested person on the telephone. Also one of our party had a gluten free allergy and was told that the chef could cook something specially. We booked because one of our party had particularly requested it. When a plain omelette was requested for our gluten free friend we were told that this was not possible. Embarrassing! Arrived at 1245 and were served hot lunches at 1400. No apologies, no eye contact, no smiles. Food was fine. But would we go again? Not until they sorted the customer service out!

I have never actually complained about service before in my life - you can always catch someone on a bad day. However.... I'd consider not taking a toddler/baby here - just had a very upsetting run in with a waitress (and then ownner) saying we couldn't feed our boy (22 months) with allergies his own food even though we were ordering meals ourselves - explained we had to feed him his food and had a long journey home - they point blank refused. This is their perogative, but it was done in a very upsetting and rude manner with riased voices from them in front of our little lad. Pretty poor form i'd say.

Excellent quality, friendly service, local produce in a stunningly beautiful setting. It’s a real treat to come here and there is plenty for all the family whether it’s an afternoon tea, farmhouse breakfast or sitting outside in the sun while children play on the swings and slides.

Hilltop Farm is a unique place and it is one of my favourite places to meet up for breakfast, have afternoon tea, take guests from out the area to admire the Warwickshire countryside and socialise in the evening at the Hayloft restaurant evenings. It caters for everyone and has a lovely welcoming feel as it is a family run business. On sunny days it is glorious on the patio enjoying refreshments after the farm walk and in the winter there is nothing better than relaxing with the Sunday papers all cosy inside the barn cafe looking forward to a scrumptious all local produce breakfast. The shop is definitely worth a look, great meat and veg at good prices and for an extra special gift there is always something there to tempt. Can't recommend it any more, but if you don;t go, you will miss out.....

I called in to the shop and decided to have a cup of tea and a "Local Ham" sandwich and was delighted with the quality and presentation of the food. Definitely not your average sandwich!!

I will definitely call in again for lunch when I'm passing and would highly recommend the cafe to others.
