Just wanted to let anyone thinking of doing Dragon Archery know that you can't go wrong!!! We went there on 29/4/11 for my Stag Do and had an amazing time. First of all, the set up is top quality in a beautiful location and purpose built. You work your way through a series of target ranges which get progressively more exciting and challenging. My personal highlight was the Lord of the Rings range as the targets are PROPER Uruk Hai and Orcs. It was a great pleasure shooting them!!! It's a MUST for any LotR fans but every target range is great, including dinosaurs and an Agincourt range, a pleasure for any patriotic Englishman!!! 9 of us went and competed against eachother which made it a great laugh for the stag and meant bragging rights for the evening to come!!! Staff were amazing, very friendly with an incredibly interesting history lesson as you went and a demonstration of bows use in warfare. It's a brilliant, pure genius idea. They deserve all the success to come. Thank you!! Dan

Four of us booked into Dragon Archery just after Easter this year. During the course of the morning’s entertainment, we all felt that we learned a great deal and benefitted from expert tuition. Drinks and snacks were laid on and the friendliness of staff was warming. It didn’t matter what size or gender you were, we were all competitive and had a fabulous time. The layout of the tournaments and attention to detail was brilliant. The whole experience was the best part of our holiday. We all agreed that we would return in the near future.

My husband arranged this for my birthday. He spent quite some time looking at something archery related both locally and further afield. Dragon Archery is in excess of 200 miles from home. The reason that he decided on Dragon was because of the reviews. How right he was! From the moment we arrived, we were made welcome by Andy, Joy and their 2 sons. Having had a few practice shots, we were taken on an adventure where we were not just shooting at circular targets as you would expect, but shooting at dinosaurs, Lord of the Rings, Camelot - all were large models and a real challenge to hit and score points. All the time, we had help with positioning and aiming the bow and arrow if we needed it. The final challenge was the dragon slayer.. In all honesty, this is the best family day out we've ever had and can't recommend it enough! Fantastic day, loved every minute!

I first went to the Dragon Archery Centre some four years ago with very little expectations. We were greeted by the entire family who welcomed us with open arms and treated us all, what we felt, a special day out. They teach you individually and give instructions how to use you bow no matter the skill range. We originally only booked once and before we left the afternoon we booked two further sessions. This is truly a family run business and they embrace you as you were a part of the family. I've booked already three sessions for this year and I am not coming down till August. Book ahead as the place is filled up fast. No matter who walks in the door you will always feel a warm welcome. The views a panoramic and no matter the weather you ensured for good time. Everyone becomes completly focused on one goal, to become a dragon slayer. You can virtually hear your heart pumping and feel the dryness in your mouth. So go for it, book now to avoid disappointment!

Dragon Archery was a simply fantastic experience. My wife, my 11-year-old son and I were all made most welcome from the moment we arrived, to the moment we had to, reluctantly, drag ourselves away. The experience started with a few practice shots at traditional round targets, during which we were given excellent instructions on how to load, aim and fire the arrows (and clear and concise safety instructions). After this one moves to much less traditional targets, including shooting at dinosaurs, Orcs and wolves from "The Lord of the Rings" (taking great care not to shoot "the good guys", followed by the French at the battle of Agincourt. At each stage, we were set small, but exciting tasks, with the different targets being given "points" that had to be earned. We were given a shoot to shoot at a dragon's heart to try to kill the dragon. If you succeed (which we did not!) and engraved plaque is put up on a shield in the Reception Area. We are going back as soon as we can.

For me Dragon Archery is simply perfect, the location, the genuine friendly atmosphere, the excitement of "the shoot" (my term) There are all kinds of weapons with interesting and educational stories/facts surrounding them in the various "shooting bays" (me again) you will see a war bow fired across two fields with accuracy, there are many individual and team challenges all carried out in a safe manner. I could say a lot more but will leave saying that on the final challenge you get the chance to become a Dragon Slayer with your name placed on a shield for all to see if you hit the target. The whole event of being at Dragon archery is a pleasure so thankyou Andy and the team! I will be there again in the summer, all the best from Big Ian and family in Ipswich. Cant Wait

We had an office outing to Dragon Adventure and had a wonderful time. Andy and Joy were perfect hosts and managed to tutor even the most clueless amongst us (like me!) to successfully hit the differently styled targets. It's a great day out with a difference, in beautiful surroundings. Definitely recommend it for families or groups of all ages.

With members ranging in age from 8 - 60, and despite the freezing cold, everyone was fully engaged and entertained - a few of our number actually managed to hit something. We visited the Dragon Archery Centre a few days after Xmas 2009 and 'WOW' what a great time we all had. Although very cold on the morning we were supplied with fingerless gloves, hand warmers and refreshments, which was a welcomed lovely touch. Our family + extras consisted of a group of 6, ranging in different ages and abilities. The tuition was easy to understand, informative and fun and we were soon hitting our targets with much excitement. The themed ranges were great with historic artefacts and themed sounds/music, this all added to the sheer ambience of the place. My favourite was the dinosaur range, while the kids favoured the ‘Lord of the Rings’, Fantasy range. The finale of the morning was to see who would be the dragon slayer of our group, this turned out to be my husband which was quite nice because the morning had been a Xmas present voucher to him. Thoroughly enjoyed the 3 hours of total fun - where did the time go? Andy, the owner and instructor was excellent ably assisted by his wife Joy and their boys - oh by the way, thanks for fetching all those arrows. The Ranges and games were varied and very good although I have to say my aim was pretty poor, I have been inspired to come again and practise. Good value for money - loved the teas and snacks while waiting for the arrows to be returned. Just thanks for the experience. Brandon

We have just 3 of the most fun, active and team building hours I have ever had. Brilliant laugh, excellent hospitality and incredible camaraderie.
