Dragon Archery - This was a great day out, everything was excellent and I will definitely visit again

Just wanted to let anyone thinking of doing Dragon Archery know that you can't go wrong!!! We went there on 29/4/11 for my Stag Do and had an amazing time. First of all, the set up is top quality in a beautiful location and purpose built. You work your way through a series of target ranges which get progressively more exciting and challenging. My personal highlight was the Lord of the Rings range as the targets are PROPER Uruk Hai and Orcs. It was a great pleasure shooting them!!! It's a MUST for any LotR fans but every target range is great, including dinosaurs and an Agincourt range, a pleasure for any patriotic Englishman!!! 9 of us went and competed against eachother which made it a great laugh for the stag and meant bragging rights for the evening to come!!! Staff were amazing, very friendly with an incredibly interesting history lesson as you went and a demonstration of bows use in warfare. It's a brilliant, pure genius idea. They deserve all the success to come. Thank you!! Dan

My husband arranged this for my birthday. He spent quite some time looking at something archery related both locally and further afield. Dragon Archery is in excess of 200 miles from home. The reason that he decided on Dragon was because of the reviews. How right he was! From the moment we arrived, we were made welcome by Andy, Joy and their 2 sons. Having had a few practice shots, we were taken on an adventure where we were not just shooting at circular targets as you would expect, but shooting at dinosaurs, Lord of the Rings, Camelot - all were large models and a real challenge to hit and score points. All the time, we had help with positioning and aiming the bow and arrow if we needed it. The final challenge was the dragon slayer.. In all honesty, this is the best family day out we've ever had and can't recommend it enough! Fantastic day, loved every minute!

My daughter and I had a really fun time at Dragon Archery . We were made really welcome from the moment we arrived. The instructions were so clear and Andy was very patient with us. The quality of service was outstanding and I would have no hesitation in recommending Dragon Archery . We both cant wait to go back and want to bring some of our friends with us.

Excellent tuition, brilliant value for money, superb hospitality. Very patient with our group, and the best afternoon we've had out for ages. Would definately recommend to others and will certainly visit again in the future.

For me Dragon Archery is simply perfect, the location, the genuine friendly atmosphere, the excitement of "the shoot" (my term) There are all kinds of weapons with interesting and educational stories/facts surrounding them in the various "shooting bays" (me again) you will see a war bow fired across two fields with accuracy, there are many individual and team challenges all carried out in a safe manner. I could say a lot more but will leave saying that on the final challenge you get the chance to become a Dragon Slayer with your name placed on a shield for all to see if you hit the target. The whole event of being at Dragon archery is a pleasure so thankyou Andy and the team! I will be there again in the summer, all the best from Big Ian and family in Ipswich. Cant Wait

I would like to thank you for making my 12th birthday very memorable. All my friends and I had a great time and they all commented on how good the targets were. All the aspects of your archery centre were brill and this is not the last time you will be seeing us.

We came for a course and I’d just like to say how much the 4 of us enjoyed it. I could see the effort and care and expense put into the set-up and the arrangement of the site ... I thought It was Very well run and a great day for anybody. We all talked about it on the way home and all agreed that It was a fantastic day. Especially for people who have never shot a bow before.

I’ve just had the best archery experience I’ve ever had and it was the highlight of my holiday. I’d also like to say that the ranges they have created are the best I have ever seen and they are great fun. We had an office outing to Dragon Adventure and had a wonderful time. Andy and Joy were perfect hosts and managed to tutor even the most clueless amongst us (like me!) to successfully hit the differently styled targets. It's a great day out with a difference, in beautiful surroundings. Definitely recommend it for families or groups of all ages.

Dragon Archery was a great day out for the whole family. With members ranging in age from 8 - 60, and despite the freezing cold, everyone was fully engaged and entertained - a few of our number actually managed to hit something. All we need now is another gathering of the clan to repeat our visit. I can't thank Andy and his family enough f for their help - and a great afternoon out.

I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our brilliant day with you. We learnt so much more than just how to handle a bow because you both told us so many interesting things regarding its history, battle scenarios and the different types of arrow head and their function.

Thank you very much for making a fantastic memorable day for Frazer's birthday. We all had a brilliant time and haven't stop talking about it since. Thoroughly enjoyed the 3 hours of total fun - where did the time go? Andy, the owner and instructor was excellent ably assisted by his wife Joy and their boys - oh by the way, thanks for fetching all those arrows. The Ranges and games were varied and very good although I have to say my aim was pretty poor, I have been inspired to come again and practise. Good value for money - loved the teas and snacks while waiting for the arrows to be returned. Just thanks for the experience. Brandon

Oh what a super day. We had a fantastic time and such fun and we learnt just loads.The owner Andrew was a really nice guy and was so patient with my boys. Will definitely go back again in the spring.

A truly fantastic day! An awe-inspiring set-up in a beautiful location - so much passion and knowledge has gone into creating the Dragon Archery Centre. It far surpasses any other 'tourist attraction' due to the attention to detail and family-feel of the place (no money-grabbing consumerism here)...we were treated so well and had an amazing, informative, relaxing (us) and exciting (the kids!) afternoon. Well worth the money and we most definitely will return. Can't recommend enough *****

We are experienced archers and still love to visit Dragon Archery for a great fun experience! Andy has a wealth of knowledge and imparts it so well a complete beginner will find themselves shooting confidently very soon. Joy the hostess with the mostest - regular refreshment top ups and Josh - patient and encouraging all the way! Great family run business with our enjoyment top of their list. Very professionally run!

We have been to the archery a few years in a row now and got to say it is worth every penny and well worth the journey from north east of england, to be entertained and well looked after by such a nice family who take care and attention no matter what age from young to old, you are made to feel at ease the moment you walk through the door and will take away fantastic memories of a superb day out that will have you talking about the challenges for a long time, specially if you become a DRAGON SLAYER.

The most fantastic day out for 8-80 year olds. We took 3 generations to Dragon Archery for my son's 9th birthday party and all enjoyed the individual archery tuition, the themed ranges; dinosaur, lord of the rings and agincourt and the final dragon challenge, to become a dragon slayer. Andrew and Joy and they children made us so welcome and Andrew was a brilliant leader bringing out the competititve element amongst the children and adults in equal measure. All want to return; either with their work mates or for another birthday. More people need to know about this brilliant place! Miranda, Diggory, Raz, Bear, Magi, Simon, Theo, Richard, Barnaby and Edward.

This was our second visit to Dragon Archery and yet again we had a fantastic family afternoon in the company of Andy and his family. Successfully shooting over 70 arrows each under expert guidance and tuition. We would all throughly recommend this attraction.

A superb afternoon!! I took a (Stag) group of 12 for afteroon. Because of the numbers we had the range to ourselves. Our host loked after us very well, we were welcomed and entertained for 4 hours. The Ranges were interesting and fun, far more than we had hoped for. The Tuition was expert and supportive. Everyone ended up a improving their aim through the course of the afternoon. Thanks to everyone at Dragon Archery for a great day out.

The best afternoon - for grown ups and kids alike. The time sped by and left us still wanting more. We will be back, save a space on the Dragonslayer board for us.
