Heysham Pool gets ready for a splash up

A cool new fitness class for young people aged from 13 to 18 is being launched at Heysham Swimming Pool next week.

The class, called ‘splash_up’ mixes a one hour high intensity workout in water with a party-like atmosphere and dance music.

To celebrate the launch of this new fitness party, free refreshments and juice is available on the opening night and it’s hoped the party will continue every week.

Chris Green, Heysham Pool Supervisor,  said: “We wanted to introduce a night that really appealed to local young people who wanted to look good for the summer, but were bored of conventional fitness classes.

"Many of our younger customers have asked for a class that mixed music, exercise and fun, and be just for them.   We’re confident that Splash Up will deliver exactly what they have asked for.”

The Heysham Pool Splash Up is a one hour session which takes place every Thursday evening starting at 5.30pm and costing just £3.
