Park Hill School & Nursery, founded in 1949 and based in the heart of Kingston upon Thames, is an independent primary day school and nursery school for children aged 2 and a half years and over. The school has an established reputation for providing sound academic teaching in a unique and nurturing environment.

A Sense of Family
One of the most valued customs is the way in which parents have always played an active part in Park Hill School life. The school has a strong family tradition in that a number of their children are offspring of past pupils. The Principal, Marie Christie, and her three children, were pupils of the school.
Every parent interested in his or her child's education will appreciate that support and involvement is vitally important. The school has an open door policy for parents at all times and regular contact between home and school is maintained throughout the academic year.
The Nursery
The Nursery is housed in its own bright building within the school grounds in Kingston, where the children enjoy a stimulating learning environment and receive the individual care and attention that young children need.
The children in the Nursery are taught how to share and play, encouraged to be kind and considerate to their friends and well mannered at all times. The school's pretty garden with climbing frame, cubby house and sandpit is used all year round. On warmer days the water play area is very popular!
The Nursery children are cared for and taught by fully qualified members of staff who are supported by a wide variety of specialist teachers. Some children stay a full day, while others go home at lunchtime.
The Staff
The highly qualified staff at Park Hill School & Nursery teach a wide and varied curriculum, using both traditional and modern educational methods. This is, of course, in addition to the form teachers who provide stability and the educational grounding essential for both the academic and emotional success of the children.
The teachers are supported by a group of additional staff including, administerial, medical and catering, who help ensure the school days run smoothly.
After School Club
The Park Hill After School Club has been up and running for over 12 years and has proved to be an outstanding success amongst both pupils and parents alike.
The club provides supervised care for the children at the end of every school day until either 4.45pm or 5.45pm, and can be booked in advance or on a daily basis.
With many of parents working full time, they have found the club an invaluable asset.
