Everybody knows Keith Hern as a creative photographer and cancer survivor who has written an inspiring book about his experience. I have had the rare opportunity to get to know Keith, as the "teacher", parting with some of his vast photography knowledge. It was great to be able to share that experience and it has given me clarity in my focus on photography. Whenever you get a chance Keith, teach people how to create magic with pictures. You've got what it takes - passion to capture life as it is, packaged in a simple and inspired learning strategy.
As well as being an awesome photographer with a great eye for detail, he's a really nice guy who takes the time to understand your needs and requirements and will always go the extra mile to deliver the extraordinary, keeping us all smiling, and making incredible suggestions to enhance the end result. I don't know which is better, his interiors photography, his portrait photography or (from the look of his amazing books) his travel photography - they are all awesome. Over the coming months we look forward to continuing to work with Keith on various projects in relation to our interior design work, some new product photography for our website, and also have just asked him to photograph a society charity Gala for us. As if that wasn't enough, he's also an amazing speaker for events too - is there anything this man cannot do? I can't recommend him highly enough.Jody Atkins, Ivory Tree Designs
This is a business to love inside and out! Keith's prior career in corporate life enabled him to "get" the importance of really understanding what your customer needs, of cutting out the jargon, making a solution simple and involving the minimum of effort on the part of the customer to deliver the best possible output. He knows the value of flexibility - finding a way to make it work despite the obstacles. So, combine that with a real photographic talent he's the man for the job.
Keith is an excellent photographer, easy to work with and appreciates a good brief. Suitable for lifestyle and people shots.
'Very good working with you Keith - I enjoy your professionalism and work ethics'
I recently commissioned Keith to photograph a hotel project that I had completed. He was a pleasure to work with, very flexible, full of interesting and artistic suggestions and solutions. I am very pleased with the results and wouldn't hesitate to use him again in the future.
As the Marketing Manager of a household Consumer Electronics company I have been working with Keith now for a number of years now both for on-site photography as well as location photography. Keith offers a flexible and reliable service obviously combined with creative and high quality photography. The demands from our company are relatively high and often demanding and it’s always a pleasure working with Keith even when met with these circumstances!
Having worked with Keith over a three year period we felt he was the right person for the assignment - he has consistently demonstrated an ability to understand our brief and deliver the goods. Specifically, it is often difficult to 'capture' the spirit of a complete interiors scheme, but Keith manages to display the character of the whole as well as the close-up details. Given the visibility we want to attach to the varied nature of this project it was vital that we got the quality and range of images that we were after – Keith delivered results that we were extremely pleased with.’
Keith Hern is a patient and thorough photographer who takes time out to understand your needs & requirements, carries out a recce of the job and then captures not just the shots you thought you wanted, but also those that you didn’t even think about! He’s a thoroughly nice chap too! His exhibitions are a delight to visit also.
WTM secured the services of Keith to carry out photography at World Travel Market 2008, I found Keith extremely professional in his approach to the brief and he discussed the entire project in detail to ensure his understanding of our requirements before committing his services. He produced excellent images for us, in line with our brief; I would have no hesitation in using Keith's services again nor recommending him as a professional photographer for any eventuality.
“As someone who hates having her photograph taken and “freezes” in front of a camera, I was amazed to see how Keith captured my best features and personality in my photos. He made me feel welcome on arrival and I felt totally at ease during the shoot. Keith was recommended to me and I’m so glad that I took their advice. I’m thrilled at the results!”
Our client requested a nocturnal photo shoot in Central London at short notice, and being familiar with Keith’s work we commissioned him to do the assignment. Keith clarified some points over the spec given, kept in touch throughout by emailing sample shots through for approval and delivered the final prints which were creatively shot and exactly what we were looking for. We were impressed with Keith’s approach, and intend to use his services again
Having worked with Keith previously, and seen many examples of his work, when we needed high quality photography to help promote this key London project we asked Keith to carry out the shoot. We were very pleased with the results, have used the images in a number of different promotional ways, and am sure we will work with Keith again in the future..
As a company, we’re committed to supporting local business and I had met Keith at a local Chamber of Commerce networking event, so when I needed photography I thought of him. We were extremely pleased with both his approach and the results, and have subsequently utilised his services again for our own staff at work imagery.
Shine enlisted Keith’s help to take some staff photos to be used for our website and for PR purposes. We found Keith to be highly professional and he put us all at ease. We were really happy with the shots and we wouldn’t hesitate in using him again or in recommending him to our clients.
Congratulations to Keith on recently winning his first international photo award! This was a competition run by www.portfolios.com in the US and the two shots which won merit awards were both local, one of which was of Kingston market (visit Keithʼs site to see them).
