Picnic on the Park - great local bands, musicians, performers, schools, local clubs and more
As you will realise by now this year - 2012, our Queen will be celebrating her Diamond Jubilee.
Here in Kings Lynn we have a local committee of committed volunteers who are organising a Summer celebration for all the family.
This one day event will once again be at Wootton Park (for any of you who are unsure, this is behind North Wootton School), we hope we can welcome you along to join in the fun.
Saturday 2nd June (1pm until 9pm) will see some great local bands, musicians, performers, schools, local clubs and more putting on FREE entertainment for us all to enjoy.
There will be PARKING at North Wootton School with gate access on foot direct onto site.
We NEED to recruit more HELPERS and SUPPORTERS, so if you want to be involved or can help with donations etc. please contact us.
There will be food, drinks, park facilities, free toilets, fairground rides, a fun dog show, dance displays, ZUMBA a Big Band and more - in fact something for all the family.
EVERYTHING AT THIS EVENT WILL HELP TO BENEFIT LOCAL SERVICES, BUSINESS, SCHOOLS, CHILDREN AND PUBLIC WHO USE THIS PARK - SO COME AND SUPPORT US AND HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY OUT.
FAIRGROUND RIDES
All the fun on the fair on your doorstep. Professional fairground rides, including a few white knuckles for the more adventurous amongst you, smaller rides for the younger children and lots of others in between! These will be available all day - an affordable fairground experience for all the family.
This is a local community event and everyone in the local community (and further afield) are very welcome to come along and join in the celebrations. Whole families can come together for the day, there will be something for you all - young and old. Bring your own chairs, picnics and blankets to sit, chat, soak up the atmosphere and be entertained. If you would like to take it easy and support our traders please buy from our great suppliers who will provide hot and cold fresh foods on the day, plenty of local produce and quality foods at great prices.
NORTH WOOTTON JUNIOR SCHOOL will once again provide easy parking on their school field. The school PTA will run this so all donations will be gratefully accepted by them for the school funds.
The RAFFLE will be drawn at 6pm and this year we have some really great prizes, generously donated by local businesses and supporters (see raffle page for list of prizes). As you can imagine it costs a lot to run this type of event and the main source of our income to cover these costs are our raffle tickets. So even if you only buy one or two 50pence tickets you will not only be supporting this great day but you could get lucky and win a fabulous prize!
