NORFOLK SCAM ALERT - "No Cold Calling" Stickers Scam
12th January 2012
... Comments

There have been reports in North East Lincolnshire of cold callers offering to sell No Cold Calling stickers for 99p, in support of the organisation Community Voice UK.

Lincolnshire Police have warned that they do not know of Community Voice UK.

It is feared these particular stickers are used to show to other rogue traders those residents that are susceptible to scams or distraction burglaries.

If someone attempts to sell you a No Cold Calling sticker on the doorstep, politely refuse the offer and report it to Trading Standards via Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06 or through their online reporting form (link below).

If anyone requires a FREE no cold calling sticker or is interested in setting up a No Cold Calling Zone in their area, please contact Trading Standards at Norfolk County Council on 0844 800 8005 or by emailing trading.standards@norfolk.gov.uk.
