Handy for Kettering and A14. Room was basic but functional. Value for money with cheap rate on Laterooms. Restaurant next door has Asian theme/menu. Was quiet midweek. Good service and food was OK. All round good value for money as a stopover.

Good Value Bright rooms and decent size. Bathroom very ggod as was shower. Only stayed one night but would do so again. Others have reviewed that it is out in the middle of nowhere but it's so near Market Harborough and if you have a car, what's the problem? We got a taxi and it was £8 something and only took about 4 mins. There is an indian restaurant on the grounds although we didn't try it. That said though, we ordered a takeaway from the Yellow Pages in the hotel room and had no idea where it came from, other than the it said Desborough. As we were on the Desborough Road we knew it must be local, so phoned through an order. When it arrived it was mouth burning hot, so it may well have come from the place next door. In any event, it was excellent! FInally. We slept well as the hotel isn't right on top of a busy road. :):)

Birthday bash stop-over Used this hotel as very close to where we were attending a birthday pary. Bit out of the way so quiet surroundings. Lovely little garden and patio area to sit out in. Rooms were clean and cheerful. Good shower and lots of hot water. Breakfast was served in adjoining restaurant, which was in fact a Gurkha restaurant. Full English was a bit overcooked but tasty and plenty of orange juice, tea/coffee and toast available. Great service!

Stay at Travel Plaza I did not take food so cannot comment on that. Hotel was nice and quiet away from main road. Room was fine and bathroom also for price.

Excellent Stay at Travel Plaza Having arrived very late and weary , it was a pleasure to have such a quick and efficient check in. The room was large , clean and with an extremely comfortable bed! TV was large , the room was clean and modern and we had a quiet night's sleep. Check out in the morning was quick again. Great service and value for money over other "competitors". Thank you!!!

The hotel staff were v. welcoming and accommodating. I was able to order takeaway food from the restaurant even though it was officially closed as I arrived late. Then I needed something and a member of staff came to my room with it. My wake up call was 20 mins late (but I was up) but overall a very friendly, value for money place to stay. The food at Gurkhas (the attached restaurant) was amazing.

Very basic room as expected but everything we needed including extra blankets, pillows and towels. We needed a family room and the put U up sofa bed was much bigger than I've ever seen before at basic hotels. My son is used to a king sized bed yet he had a very comfortable sleep without falling off! With regards to the service absolutely impeccable both previously on the phone, on arrival and during our stay. The lady at reception should be bottled and used as an example to many other establishments. The restuarant offered the same excellent service and the food was extremely good.

A welcome stop. Comfy, large room, well equipped and quiet. helpful, polite staff, parking onsite monitored by cameras. Did not use the restaurant so cannot comment on food, plenty of facilities in nearby town.

Pleasant Surprise A pleasant surprise to find a lodge style hotel that was not owned by one of the usual chains, but managed to compete very well in terms of price and comfort. Above average toiletries and very comfortable bed. Slightly isolated location a couple of miles from Desborough but has a Nepali and Indian restaurant on site.

The staff at the hotel were helpful both on the telephone & in person when I arrived. The facility itself, although slightly remote, was clean and well equiped with everything you'd need as a business traveller or indeed a social user.

Great Value for Money You can tell it was a travelodge but there are all the added extra's and very helpfull staff...the hotel was emaculatly clean, bed comfy, hotel quiet.... a little restricted for food choice of an evening but we enjoyed the indian resturant and were in easy driving distance of something else.... fab would recommend

Everything we needed . . . . We only needed a room for the night as we were travelling a long way to go and watch the F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone. We found the hotel without any trouble using our sat nav. The lady at reception was wonderful, friendly and helpful. The room was everything we needed for the night, comfy beds, clean, quiet and ample space. The restaurant next door (run by the same people) is Nepalese but serves a variety of foods and drinks. While the waiters did not speak fluent english, they were very friendly and efficient. The food was fantastic and if I lived closer I would most definately go there to eat again. If we visit the area again we will be eating there again and probably stay at this hotel again too. The restaurant do give the option of ordering take-out and eating in your room but we didn't do that. Can't fault this place.
