I’M A CELEBRITY, GET ME OFF THIS COACH!

The man we all love to hate, David Van Day was sensationally thrown out of ‘Celebrity Coach Trip’ this week after just 24 hours due to an on air feud with ex-Bucks Fizz star Cheryl Baker.

David, who will be appearing in Kettering’s first ever professional Pantomime at the Lighthouse Theatre this December, joined the Celebrity Coach Trip in Austria on Monday, only to be evicted alongside jungle-mate Tony Blackburn on Tuesday afternoon.

Although unanimously voted out by the other coach-trippers due to their late arrival to this show, it was Cheryl who seemed the most riled by DVD’s presence screaming “I hate you. I loathe you. I can’t stand the sight of you!”

David had made himself unpopular on the coach by singing Dollar songs and by generally annoying his arch-enemy Cheryl. Seemingly amused yet oblivious to the reaction he had caused, David told cameras that “Cheryl was very nasty and it’s all been caught on camera. I feel sorry for Tony. He probably wishes he had never been paired up with me!”

Fellow passengers on the coach included The Chuckle Brothers, EastEnder Carol Harrison, 55, Chris Tarrant’s ex Ingrid, 55, ex-EastEnders star Ricky Groves, 42, sports pundit Rodney Marsh 65, reality-TV decorators Justin Ryan, 43, Colin McAllister, 42, Bucks Fizz star Cheryl Baker, 56 and Alex Ferns, 41.

Playing the villain all comes naturally to David as he gears up to his second year as evil Abanazar in Theatre Productions’ Aladdin. David will join wife Sue Moxley, Big Brother star Nikki Grahame, Eurovision star Josh Dubovie, Emmerdale Farm’s Frazer Hines and X Factor contestant Daniel Fox at The Lighthouse from 10th-26th December.
