Local cyclists are being urged to join a mass participation ride when the Halfords Tour Series comes to Kettering in June.
A day of activities is being planned as part of the event, which is taking place on Thursday, June 10.
Top cyclists will be taking part in the elite race at 7pm, but the public can join in with a host of cycling-related fun throughout the day, starting at midday.
At 5pm, there will be a mass bike ride to raise money for prostate cancer.
Kettering Council are working hard to promote the event around Kettering and to get more people on their bikes.
They have approached schools to see if pupils are interested in cycling sessions and now go to St Peter's School in Kettering every Monday afternoon to help pupils with their pedal power.
Free Go Ride cycling sessions are also being held at the Weekley Glebe playing fields from 5pm to 6pm on Wednesdays until Wednesday, July 7.
Children and young people aged from five to 15 can take part but must have their own bike and helmet.
