This is the first time that Churchill’s paintings have ever been shown with another artist and are displayed like this because of the relationship shared by the two men: Winston Churchill inspired and helped Hassan El Glaoui, the son of the Pasha of Marrakech to become an artist and convinced his father to let him paint. Hassan is now a globally acclaimed artist, whose work commands huge sums at auction.
