Kensington and Chelsea College extends its MATRIX accreditation

Kensington and Chelsea College has recently been MATRIX accredited for the College’s Learner Services. This extends the College’s accreditation which applied to IAG (information, advice and guidance) from 2015.

 

Learner Services at the College include Admissions, Welfare/Wellbeing and Safeguarding, Counselling and Library Services.  The report highlighted the positive impact that Learner Services has had on the improvement of attendance, retention and achievement and progression rates.   It commented: ‘The Curriculum and Learner Services staff complement each other at Kensington and Chelsea College to provide a supportive learning environment that impacts directly on students.’

 

Wendy Charles-Martin, the College’s Director of Learner Services, said: “I am delighted to confirm that our re-accreditation has been confirmed, and that it now applies to the Learner Services section as a whole, a wider award than previously.  I’m proud of my team and all the time and effort they put in, all through the year, to help our learners, and this recognition is well-deserved."
