Experience the old tales of Cumbria and the local area as they were first told – on the lips of a storyteller. Join performance storyteller Dominic Kelly, as he takes you through deserted ruins, smugglers’ haunts, wild fell-sides and forests, and all without leaving your chair! Dominic’s family roots lie along the saltmarshes of Morecambe Bay, but he grew up amongst the Lake District fells. As a performance storyteller, he is in demand nationwide, performing at festivals and in museums, theatres, schools and heritage sites. He was awarded the prestigious New Directions Commission by Cambridge Storytelling Festival earlier this year, and has also created performances to accompany the exhibition ‘Nature Paintings’ by Turner Prize-winning artist Keith Tyson. A warm fire and supper included in the ticket price of just £5.
