Welcome to National Trust for Jersey

Would you like to hold your Jersey wedding at a venue that is quite unique and is set in stunning surroundings? If so The National Trust for Jersey have venues that could be perfect for you.

The National Trust for Jersey is an independent and charitable organisation dedicated to preserving and safeguarding sites of historic, aesthetic and natural interest for the benefit of the island.

Two of the historic buildings in the care of the National Trust for Jersey are licensed for weddings and offer a unique venue for a really special island wedding.

Le Câtel Fort, above Grève de Lecq Bay

This 18th-century guardhouse, situated high on the eastern cliffs that dominate Grève de Lecq Bay, was built to survey the northern approaches to Jersey. The grassed grounds of the Fort contain an oak tree and a number of wild flower species, including an Early Purple Orchid which appeared on site for the first time in 2000.

It has recently been granted a wedding license for up to 40 people, however it should be noted that it is not suitable as a reception venue due to restrictions on marquees. With its real fire and walled enclosure it is a perfect place to get married anytime of the year.

Le Câtel Fort is also available all year as a BBQ and picnic site.

Le Don Hilton, St.Ouen's Bay

The building (which is commonly known as 'the white house' has been painted green for 2011 to raise awareness of the work of the National Trust for Jersey) was constructed in 1765 and was originally St Peter's Guardhouse.

Surrounded by Common Thrift in spring and, in summer, Jersey Thrift and Alderney Sea-lavender, the site provides stunning views of the whole bay, truly a beautiful setting for an intimate wedding. The building is licensed for weddings of up to 15 people, however not really suitable for receptions due to the restrictions on marquees.

This venue is also available all year as a BBQ and picnic site.
