Silkworth Lodge is a marvellous, much needed and deserving charity taking in alcholics and drug users. They have been a lifeline to us and many, many others I should imagine. They work tirelessly with those in their care and their families and run a wonderful programme with ongoing aftercare. Families are also included in some of their weekly meetings at their premises, and always get a warm, friendly welcome, like a home from home.

I work at Silkworth Lodge and exprience the work achieved first hand. The staff are totally committed to their work and when the clients leave they have a hope and a chance of live without drugs/alcohol.

What I love about this business is that it provides support to the most vulnerable residents of Jersey. This charity works with people suffering from Drug and Alcohol Addiction, offering a residential treatment centre and ongoing care in the form of shared houses and flats. It not only helps substance misuser issues but also their families and friends. Help is offered quickly and is available to people regardless of their financial situation.

Silkworth Lodge saved my life and enabled me to turn my life around. They wrapped me in a blanket of love and I was able to live a full and meaningful life following treatment in their care.

What makes a huge difference is that there work at Silkworth-works. Everyone there is great, supportive and understanding as well as knowing what they are talking about.

Silkworth Lodge is an amazing charity, caring and helping people who really need it. With little rewards and help from the pubic (as it is a sensitive subject - people would rather give money to cute animal and children charities than drug and alcoholics), they work out of love for the individuals seeking help and their reward is the feeling of satisfaction when another individual has completed the programme and well on their way to recovery.
