At the Jersey 2011 Design Awards as well as Senator Freddie Cohen praising BDK’s work, the general public voted BDK’s project one of the top three schemes out of all 104 Design Awards entries, most liked by the public.
Senator Freddie Cohen commended BDK for their Dessous Les Hougues project at L’Etacq project, saying – “It is a really nice lovely scheme”, adding it was a beautiful carefully crafted exemplar of traditional Jersey architecture with local relevance.
Also the general public gave BDK a large number of votes for their Dessous Les Hougues project placing BDK equal second in the Peoples Choice Award – placing them in the top three schemes most liked by the general public who visited the Exhibition of Jersey Design Award entries.

I gave BDK Architects the almost impossible task of designing and planning a modern unique glass extension to our Grade I listed home at No 1 Windsor Crescent. Through a mixture of inspirational design, an intimate knowledge of Planning regulations and laws together with a vast knowledge of modern technology and building products, Paul Harding and his team have produced a design brief of outstanding quality to submit to the planning process, which enhances a stately and beautifully proportioned detached house with a stunning 21st century solution for its development, without in any way detracting from or damaging the original structure. Paul and his team are to be congratulated for their interpretation of this difficult brief.
