Keepertime at Durrell - Hands-on workshops for 12-18 year olds
Tibetan Buddhist monk, Gelong Thubten, will teach a series of three weekend workshops combining mindfulness, meditation and compassion training. The approach will be non-religious and practical, with training in meditation techniques as well as how to apply them in daily life. Thubten will draw upon authentic, traditional Buddhist teachings such as The 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva, providing practical advice on the methods of developing awareness and compassion. There will be useful advice on how to deal with difficult and challenging situations and how to develop forgiveness. We will work with our emotions, with stress, and learn how to increase our clarity of mind, compassion and happiness.
