Where can you find car parks in Islington

One of the biggest grips I heard from businesses around Islington is the lack of adequate parking in the area. While someone going to pick up a dress clearly doesn't need to bring a car if you are looking at something more substantial then you may need your own transport. The council seems determined to make as much money as they can from these people which can be a big drain to small retail businesses trying to make a living.

While keeping cars of the roads is generally a good thing some of it is just a bit over the top such as the box junction by Islington green that issued 4,286 notices in the space of 3 months!

Anyway I thought I'd help out with a list of some of the places you can park in Islington for those of you who need to drive into the borough

  • Highbury Car Park, 85 Canonbury Road London, Greater London N1 2DG (only £12 per day I believe)
  • Easy Car Parks have 3 locations, 38 Northampton Road London EC1R 0HU, 30-36 Bastwich street London EC1V 3PS, 6 Peerless Street London EC1V 9EX England
  • Budget Parking, Theseus Walk London N1 8DW
  • Tolpuddle Street Car Park
  • Business Design Centre Car Park just off Upper Street
  • N1 Centre car park
  • If you require a long term and secure gated parking space, contact Arlington Estates on 020 7704 1090 or e-mail info@arlingtonestates.co.uk. They have parking spacesavailable in several locations dotted around Islington, starting from £20 per week to £85 per week

These are some of the main Car Parks in the area. Larger shops also have their own cars parks such as Sainsburys in Angel and Morrisons in Holloway which you can use as long as you shop there although I don't think Morrisons ever check. Hope this is useful for you.

If you want to see where are the pay and display areas you can find them on the council site here http://www.islington.gov.uk/services/parking-roads/parking/where_to_park/Pages/default.aspx
