The weekend is here again and I thought I'd give you a few ideas on what to do and what's on around Islington this weekend

If you're looking for something a bit light hearted there's a regular comedy night at the Arc on Saturday night which is always good for a giggle and some drinks.

There are plenty of choices for live music in Islignton, The O2 Academy Islington has Lee Fields and The Expressions playing on Saturday. You also could pop along to the Lexington to watch Parisian Rock band Blackfeet Revolution

How about some fringe theatre from the Old Red Lion who are showing Happy Birthday Wanda June. http://www.thebestof.co.uk/local/islington/events

The Screen on the Green are showing Rust and Bone which I haven't see but it seems to be getting rave reviews http://www.everymancinema.com/cinemas/screen-on-the-green/sat-10-11-12/whats-on

On Sunday there'll be a Remembrance Day Service from 10 - 11:30 at Islington Green. A parade will set off from Highbury Corner at  at 10:00 with a short stop at the Town Hall with an inter faith service at Islington Green at 10:40am

Have a look at my events page for other events that are on in Islington this weekend like The Country Living Fair at The Business Design Centre http://www.thebestof.co.uk/local/islington/events/feature/country-living-christmas-fair-1351845166.0933
