Omibus Horse Drawn trip

Another rainy day in Islington today. Luckily yesterday had a bit of sunshine which worked out well for the little tour I took on an original horse drawn Omnibus. Have a look at the picture, the tour was around the Caledoianan Road area and started at Omnibus house which is where the buses were built but is now a business centre. The one I was on was over 100 years old and made for an interesting sight going past the tube station! They're thinking of making it a regular tour which could be good if they extended the route and adding in some history of the area. While it may not be the prettiest areas in London there is a huge amount of history here and the recent program on Caledoianan road gave people an insight into the history of the road and area. Enjoy the weekend
