Silver Art Clay is a product made of tiny silver particles and a binding agent. When fired the binding agent burns away leaving the silver particles to fuse into fine silver being 99.9% pure. Sterling silver is 92.5% pure. This product can be fired with a craft torch a gas stove, including a portable camping stove, or a Kiln.
During the day attendants will make a pendant some earrings and then use their remainding clay by making charms. All pieces are individually designed by the individuals and will be completed with all necessary chains and findings for them to wear home.
We will cover shaping, drying, firing and polishing we will explore and discuss different techniques and experience different tools.
We will discuss suppliers, and resources, so all attendees will be able to source the necessary tools to make their own jewellery at home, which they will now be compitant to do.
