8 Local people tackle the 3 Peaks Challenge in aid of local charities; EACH and Suffolk MIND. The Best of Ipswich along with a team of local business owners and willing volunteers are hoping to raise in excess of £6000 for local charities during 2010.

We love sport in Ipswich and Ipswich is home to loads of fantastic events. Here I'll tell you about a couple of them, rugby and cyclo-cross.

Ipswich's first half-marathon for more than 20 years was a resounding success. The Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon attracted nearly 1000 runners on Sunday 30th August 2009. An event that promises to be even better in 2010.

The Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon has announced that thebestofipswich, the Ipswich Building Society, St Elizabeth Hospice, Willis and John Grose have become official event partners for the inaugural race.
