Last year we asked our existing insurer to visit our premises to ensure we had all risks covered. They advised that this was not necessary so we decided to obtain alternative quotes for our business insurance. We contacted Pound Gates and consider ourselves fortunate to have been looked after by Del Sharman who impressed us from the outset by readily agreeing to visit us even though this meant he had to drive in excess of 3 hours to reach us. He walked through the entire building asking questions to ensure that he fully understood our business. He then made suggestions of alternative cover. Our timescales were tight and Del advised us how to manage them to ensure we were able to proceed as we wished. His quote was competitive and all communications were timely, when he said he would ring - he did. We were delighted to find that once the insurance quote was accepted and the premium paid, we continue to deal with Del direct either by phone or email. We have not been passed on to a call centre or another member of staff. It is reassuring to know that we are still able to pick up the phone to speak to some-one we have met, who has taken the time to understand our business and who is knowledgeable about our sector. We have also been impressed by emails prompting us to keep up to date e.g. bad weather and Christmas Festivities.
