ORWELL Crossing Lorry park is owned and run by the Rout Family, and is situated on the A14 Eastbound, Nacton, Ipswich, about 7 miles from Felixstowe.
It is a large barn style building, which incorporates 'Dickie's Restaurant', 'The Atrium' and 'Olives Bar'.
Orwell Crossing is primarily for Lorry Drivers on their rest breaks, but everyone is welcome. We pride ourselves on our family atmosphere, and Sunday lunchtimes and most evenings we are also very popular with local customers.
'Dickies's Restaurant is a bit country, with a hint of the Continent; there are large refectory tables to allow large parties to sit together, as well as smaller tables for couples and single diners.
Our Award Winning Breakfast is served 6-11.30 a.m, after which the House Menu, which includes the Carvery, is available until 9 p.m. There is a Night Menu served from 9 p.m. - 6 a.m. The food is superb, reasonably priced and is cooked from fresh local ingredients by our team of highly trained Chefs.
The menu features vegetables grown on the farm behind Orwell Crossing, which is still owned and farmed by the Rout Family.
The House Menu also features dishes such as:

- Ham, Eggs & Chips
- Chicken & Bacon Salad with Garlic Bread
- Cod, Chips & Peas

- Duck, Crispy Bacon and Noodle Wrap, served with a salad garnish.

- Ham or Ceddar Ploughman's

Our dessert specials change very frequently, and are all made in house. the Strawberry Pavlova always sells out on Sundays, so come early!
The Atrium is a highly popular seating area with a Mediterranean feel, complete with tropical plants, terracotta tiles and mosaic patio furniture. there are umbrellas on some tables, at night the light level is gentle, giving an alfresco feel.
Olive's Bar is a lounge style bar with an eclectic mix of furniture. Olive's spills out into the Atrium, giving a 'sitting outside' feeling to the bar. We have a small dance floor which proves very popular on our entertainment nights!
Thursdays we have a 'middle of the road duo or band'. Fridays mostly Country & Western, Saturdays Karaoke with Buccaneer, a 'soft rock' band, quiz night, tribute act or party. All our entertainment listings are in the 'Grapevine' and available in house.
Orwell Crossing is fully licensed through-out, and all areas are suitable for dining.
It is advisable to book for large groups, and also particularly Friday Nights.
