Things are going well. I am still listening to the hypnosis cd and still using the techniques you taught me. I have found the anchoring technique really helpful. I tend to use the anchoring a lot especially is I feel anxious or worried. At the moment I am still not liking the lightning but the thunder doesn't really concern me much at all now. Recently it was thundering and I felt anxious at first but then I just ignored it and found myself looking at a newspaper and sorting out some clothes which I couldn't have done before. in the end I didn't care that it was thundering. When I watch the forecast and it says thundery showers I say to myself "Worry about it if it happens!" whereas before I used to think days ahead of a potential storm. One thing that has changed is I go out all the time into town with my boyfriend even when it its dark with clouds and pouring down of rain. The rain doesn't bother me much now either. Before the sessions I think I had a very powerful link between rain and storms but now I can see them as two different things. Another thing that has changed is when there is a storm I hide under a pillow I just hold it instead. Its great to feel in control of it rather than the other way round. If I do get a bit panicky I can calm down a lot quicker. My day to day life has definately become a lot easier and I can lead a more normal life than before.
