The new scheme is being hailed as "hugely exciting", by Mr Steve Flory, managing director of Suffolk Offset, in Martlesham Heath and Hudson Signs, in Needham Market, who form part of the alliance, the other business being recycling giants, Sackers, of Great Blakenham.

The purpose of the scheme allows customers of the three companies - FREE of charge - collection of excess paper, out of date and spoiled material from their print and old signage.

The material will be recycled at the Sackers treatment plant in Great Blakenham and a certificate presented to customers showing the amount of recycling achieved.

"We are hugely excited by this scheme," Mr Flory said. "People take recycling very seriously these days, and so do we at Suffolk Offset, Hudson Signs and Sackers. Recycling is our future, and our children's future. "On top of the free collection, we will also provide a discount on a range of recycled stock for those customers' new print and signage requirements."

Mr Nigel Slinn, commercial director of Sackers added: "At Sackers we have been at the forefront of recycling for many years now, and it is exciting for us to be involved in this scheme, which we know will help reduce the amount of paper and signage just laying around."And most importantly recycle it correctly to benefit the planet."

The scheme will also see 'Plant a Hedgerow' and 'Plant a Tree' initiatives being introduced.

Mr Flory said: "For every order we receive on our recycled stock at Suffolk Offset and Hudson Signs, we will provide a hedgerow to be planted in managed environment on a farm site in Suffolk. "For orders more than £1,000, we will plant a tree on the same basis, at the same site
