Last Friday night I spent the evening with friends at the Soul Motown & 70’s Night and ‘WOW’ did we have a great time. The music was provided by DJ Big Soul Ian and the live band was ‘Soultown Chic’ who were excellent!
The venue was the Hotel Elizabeth at Copdock, Ipswich and as a first time visitor to this event I was amazed at how many lovely people were already there when we arrived just after 8pm. The music was loud enough without destroying my ear drums and the venue had plenty of seating around the large dance floor. I was very impressed with the bar which was very long and had loads of friendly staff, so there was practically no queue for drinks.
