I believe that a driving school should make learning to drive an enjoyable experience. The more you enjoy learning to drive, the sooner you will be ready for your driving test.
I am a friendly and patient driving instructor, and will work at your pace to instil confidence in you.
You will be learning to drive in the Huntingdon area in a great little Mini, and you will get detailed feedback after all lessons.
At this Driving School, we pride ourselves on achieving a very high pass rate.

I signed my daughter up for some lessons with Sue and boy am I glad that I did! We could see her making real progress right from the very start and her confidence soared. When the time came she passed her test on the very first attempt. I would recommend her very highly indeed!
I knew as my son approached his 17th birthday, that driving lessons would be on his birthday 'wish list' so having known of 'The Toad' for a number of years with friends children having had driving lessons with Sue, I knew that there was only one choice. It was only after he turned up in his car without L Plates I knew that he had taken & passed his test (1st time) and subsequent conversations with 'Mrs Toad' I learnt that William not only enjoyed his lessons, he & Sue hit it off, with much laughter adding to the serious business of learning to be a safe & confident driver with respect to other road users & the car he was driving. Been taking lessons for about 9 months now, passed on my 3rd test. It took my a while to overcome nerves, but eventually the practice and guidance given managed to get me a pass. Couldn't of done it without them!
I had recently passed the driving test in the first attempt. Being a learner driver from other country was not easy. But continuous effort and hard work of my instructor Louise made my life easy. She never let me feel that I can't drive or I am going to fail the test. Moreover, the smiling face of your instructor always encourages you while learning and I must say she always gave me proper instruction with lots of smile in her face. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Louise and you are the best instructor in the world. May all your pupils get success in first attempt. Having recently passed my test first time I can safely say that Louise is a great driving instructor. The previous summer I had started to learn to drive but was never confident behind the wheel. However as soon as I started lessons with Louise I felt a lot more confident and started to enjoy my lessons. The atmosphere in the car is superb during the lessons as it was very relaxed and didn't feel like a lesson. Louise teaches more than just the basics to pass the test too as during the lessons she taught me how to fill up the car at the pump and go through a drive through! Also at your first lesson you get given a booklet to that charts your progress. However you yourself have to fill this out and therefore helps you see where you need to improve. Definately worth it, and I'm looking forward to doing the Pass Plus. Thanks Louise! Ben
Toads School of Driving is simply the best ! The instructors are always on time for lessons, with the lessons being very enjoyable and worthwhile. The pupil knows they are safe in the car with the instructors with teaching being adapted to be the most beneficial to the individuals needs. It is clear that the pupils safety and learning is the number one priority and a life long skill is taught truly excellently. This driving school thoroughly deserves a good recommendation. THANK YOU!!! honestly could not of passed my test today without you. not 1... but 2 bloody examiners in the car, and an emergency stop.... nice! You're brilliant Sue. In the last 4 months you've kept me calm, stopped me throwing my toys out the pram, listened to my hissy fits... all at the same time as teaching me to drive safely! You've given me such confidence, & nothing has been too much effort for you. Thank you for the early morning lessons to suit me too (sorry!) I cannot recommend you enough... bloody legend xxx
I really loved my lessons with Sue, and will now miss seeing her every week! She was a brilliant driving instructor and with her I passed first time. Even though I would get really nervous when I first started learning she helped to keep me calm and I now feel much more confident and safe driving. I would recommend her to anyone, sheâs amazing!
Well here i am again writing on this ladys web page. Once again what can i say about Sue. She is just brilliant at her job, gives her students 110% all the time. My son has just passed his test first time and what a surprise i had as i didn't even know anything about it. Very sneaky the pair of you. Anybody who is looking for a driving instructor should go with Toads as i can not praise this lady enough for what she has done for my two children. Not only is she a brilliant teacher to the kids she is now a good friend of the family. Keep the test rates going Sue and we miss seeing you at 7am in the morning. Police awareness or should it be test. Ha Ha
Sue is an encouraging, patient instructor who makes lessons both enjoyable and educational. Her positive attitude cannot help but rub off on you, my level of skill and confidence in a car grew throughout the course of my lessons. I now feel confident and safe in a car. I would recommend anyone to learn to drive with Sue not only because her instruction is fantastic but because her car is awesome too!!
I came to Sue very very very very very (i could go on) nervous. I had a very bad experience with my previous instructor and really thought i had no hope... how wrong i was!! How do you describe Sue... hhmmmmm... she is one of my best friends, she is my agony aunt, she is crazy and absolutely hilarious... i didn't stop laughing on my lessons... she made me feel 100% comfortable and confident and oh yes she was the best driving instructor EVER!!! I passed my theory and practical first time, and all within 5 months- bare in mind i was terrified and had no confidence. I will definately keep in contact with Sue because she's a fantastic friend and just so lovely to be around... we even went out for Chinese after driving lessons!!! If you have any fear or any bad experience, you have found the right instructor right here... look no further!! Thank you Sue... I'm so glad i decided to drive with you, and i will miss the great times we had, oh and i will miss the car... AMAZING!!!
sue is the GREATEST teacher ever and her lessons are really fun. I wouldn't have had anyway near as much fun with anyone else and she really puts a smile on your face. I passed first time with her somehow with only two minors and i really don't think i could have done that with any other teacher. If anyone is reading this that is thinking of learning to drive, i reaaaally reccomend Sue Papworth. She doesn't teach you just how to pass your test, she teachers you how to drive in the real world and will take you to lots of different places. She will talk to you about anything you want as she is a very friendly, out going person so if you need some driving lessons, HAVE SUE! she's great :) so thank you very much and good luck with your teaching.
sue must be THE BESTEST teacher IN THE WORLDDDDD!!!! i wouldnt have as much fun as i did in her lessons with anyone else. If anyone is reading this and is thinking about elarning to drive. I ADVISE YOU TO PICK SUE!!!! she's laaavely :) she has such a cool car and she's not some boring tart that makes you drive round Cambridge every day, if your lucky, you will end up by the sea ;) miss you lots and lots, have a fantabulous time with your new driving crew sue! xxxxx love ya
Sue help me pass my test in a very short period showing that she works at a pace you want to learn at. She was very relaxed while teaching and made every lesson a fun fulled one, I always looked forward to the next lesson. She always showed up on time and never let me down once. She was also very patient when teaching especially when you find some things hard to do and always has a unique way of doing them. I would definitely recommend her to anyone wanting to learn how to drive as well as keeping safe on the road. I know that she is capable of teaching anyone no matter how good or bad your driving is or how confident you are. I will miss her very much but I know that I will remember her every time I get into the car.
I absoulutely loved learning with Sue. She is such a great character that I didn't find it difficult getting on with her when learning. When I first came to her I had come out of other driving lessons where my knowledge of driving was small but Sue soon helped me correct mistakes and showed me techniques that I know will help me throughout my driving life. Sue helped me so much that I passed first time even though it was -6 degrees and I didn't even think I would have my test that day! I recommend her to anyone, not only because she is a great driving instructor, also because she is a great friend who is honest, trustworthy and I am going to miss lessons with her.
I never thought this day would come, that I would be writing this after passing my test...especially FIRST time, and it was all down to Sue. I was one of those drivers that had no confidence and was a nervous wreck infront of the wheel, but Sue soon sorted me out. She's such a lovely, bubbly, friendly, fun person who put me at ease straight away. I absolutely recommend her business, and I feel like she has so much pride for her students. I also have so much respect for her business, because she teaches that learning to drive should get you ready for the road ahead, not just passing your test, and thats why her students do so well.
Learning to drive with Sue was great. Not only did Sue help me learn to drive well and fast, we also had a great time in doing so. I would highly recommend Sue to anyone who is serious about learning to drive, whilst having fun at the same time. Gazz H another 1st time pass.
