Sport Relief is back and its coming to Hull! The city is set to host one of Sport Relief's flagship Sainsbury's Sport Relief Miles on Sunday 21 March, and they need local people to show their support by taking part.

All funds raised by Sport Relief are spent as part of Comic Relief's ongoing commitment to transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people, on local and international levels.

The Hull Mile takes in the sights of Queen Victoria Square before participants cross the finish line, cheered on by hundreds of supporters. The Sport Relief Weekend is taking place from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 March. It promises to be three whole days of energy, entertainment and events to help the nation rise to the challenge of raising money for an extremely worthy cause.

Hull City Council is working alongside Sport Relief to organise the Hull Mile. Councillor John Robinson said: "We are delighted to be hosting a Sport Relief Mile here in Hull again and to welcome it back for the third time. We know that events like these are always a great success in the city and I hope that the people of Hull will rise to the challenge and help to raise money for poor and vulnerable people both here in the UK and in the world's poorest countries."

It couldn't get any easier to be involved with the Hull Mile for Sport Relief and you can even choose how far you go- 1,3 or 6 miles. The money you raise from being sponsored to do the Hull mile can really make a difference to those who need it most.
