Hull traders up in arms over parking wardens!

Bookmark and Share

City centre traders have launched a campaign  against the parking wardens who are making life a misery, for both traders and consumers.

It seems that the over zealous parking wardens are giving parking tickets for the most trivial situations, and it has driven traders of Saville Street in particular to take action.  I witnessed a situation myself, a couple of weeks ago, where a warden issued a ticket to a car that was parked only inches over the white line around the parking bay.

I spoke to Eric Silver, who is leading the campaign, only last week about the problems that are being caused by this situation. Retail trade is hard enough without obstacles like this being put in the way.

The Best of Hull fully supports this campaign, and if you feel that you would like your say, please blog away freely on this site.

I am putting my thoughts in the Annoyances and Irritations category as it is both those things I found this site and within 3 minutes found that when I went to the category for 'nights out' all that came up were two ads for fancy dress hire, two hotels and a beauty salon (annoyance Nº1) and the salon is not even in Hull it is in Withernsea,so why is it on this Hull based site (annoyance Nº2)how are any of these a night out. Irritating indeed, that only say to me that this site does not deliver!!! report abuse...
