Still cant believe I passed my driving test and first time too!!!!! Thanks to Andy!! Andy is a talented teacher as he is patient and appears to understand you. At times I felt like giving up but Andy encouraged me to continue and gave me the determination to succeed. I must admit I didn't particularly enjoy driving but needed to do it for my career, however Andy made the lessons fun as he has a great sense of humour and eventually I began to enjoy it. Andy tailored his teaching to suit my individual learning needs as I needed lots of prompting and encouragement.I would recommend Andy to anyone who lacks confidence with driving or has had bad driving experiences (or instructors) in the past.Andy thanks again !!! Passed First Time!!! Andy is brilliant! Calm, patient and very helpful. Andy gets straight into the lessons with you and you feel very safe with him. He answers all questions honestly and you should listen to every piece of advice he gives as they are excellent and I will take these with me when I am driving always. He made me feel confident behind the wheel from my first lesson to my last.Andy is so easy to get on with, a friendly person who takes an interest in your driving but also in you! Even though I have passed, I feel I can ring Andy at any point if I have a question or for a piece of advice.I would recommend Andy to anyone and I don't think I could have wished for a better instructor. I passed my test yesterday and I am over the moon. After failing my test and having bad driving instructors in the past, Andy really helped build up my confidence in driving again. I had Andy teaching me for around 6 weeks before i passed my test-id had other instructors before but it wasnt until he taught me that it all made sense. He taught me the most simplest and most practical ways and i had a laugh too which made me look forward to my lessons. Andy puts you at ease and gains you the confidence you need in order to pass you your test. I will miss him.

Being 66 years of age and never having sat in the driving seat of a car, and going through the worst year of my life, I had very little confidence that I would ever pass a driving test, but due to Andy's great skills, patience and sense of humour, within 12 months I have achieved my goal, and am now over the moon (where I think Andy often wished I was, on a bad day).I would like to take this oppertunity to thank Andy very much for all his help, and I am looking forward to our little venture on the motorway, I hope Andy feels the same. He always used to call me the boss, but there was only one boss in the end.Thank's again Andy.

He will not string you along or let you book a test if you are not ready for it . His good sense of humour breaks the ice in the beginning - later on you are meeting a friend on every lesson. I have PASSED!!!. I still can't believe it. I burst into tears when the examiner told me. That's how shocked I was. It's all down to one man and that's Andy. After hearing about my previous escapades with driving lesson he told that this time there would be no quitting half way. Andy remained true to his word. You have to admire his 100% dedication to his learners. Andy has the patience of a SAINT. No matter how your lesson goes he will always give you positive encouragement. He is friendly, courteous, has a laugh and most important of all THE BEST DRIVING INSTRUCTOR !! If it wasn't for Andy I don't think I would have stuck to my lessons and would never have passed . Andy is a real ambassador for the very best of driving instructors. His patience, experience, skills and knowledge were instrumental in my passing my driving test with confidence. Even though I felt that I was not ready, Andy gave me the encouragement and booked my test. The theory instruction and mock tests which Andy also offered, with a focus on areas of attention really developed and prepared me to highly professional level resulting in actually taking the test as more of a formality!After having gone with different instructors in the past and not having the best experiences in driving, Andy was able to revive my enjoyment for driving and make me believe I can drive! Andy Riley is the man!!!!! I passed my test today on the 2nd attempt. I started lessons a long time ago in an manual but really struggled with gears so i gave them up. I started them up again with no confidence what so ever about driving this January and decided for Automatic. A friend at work put me in touch with Andy and i must say it was the best thing i have done. You will not get a better instructor than Andy. I will miss my lessons with him we had such a laugh.If you want to have fun while learning to drive then i highly recommend Andy I have already gave his number to a friend of mine.
14/09/2011I passed my driving test today! In January 2011, I decided that it is about time that I got my driving license. So I was off searching the web for a driving instructor. Many hours passed by, finally, I stumble upon Andy Riley's web page. He was perfect! From the very first day he made feel me comfortable and made the lesson fun. He became my coach, my mentor and most of all my friend. With his enthusiasm and encourgement, as well as patience had given me confidence and self belief. Passed my test- First time!! Can't believe it!! (Thank you so much Andy)I started my driving lessons about 10 years ago. I was learning off and on with a couple of instructors within this time and never felt like i was progressing and had almost given up as i was getting gradually more nervous.About a year ago i decided to give the driving one last attempt before giving up for good.I realised i had found the right instructor for me from the first lesson. The previous instructors i had gone with always made things so technical which looking back now was completely un-necessary.Andy understood that i was nervous from the start. He was understanding and took the lessons at a pace i was happy with.His techniques are excellent, very calm, explains things how they are (not like something you would expect from NASA! ha) and before i knew it here i am " A DRIVER!".- I would recommend him to anyone. First class instructor. Will miss my driving lessons. We had such a laugh!
Andy is a great driving instructor, he is very patient and supportive and he has very good driving techniques which will help anyone get round them tricky manoeuvres. I get very nervous in tests but thanks to Andy I was able to pass my driving test the first time which I am very happy about and can’t thank him enough. Andy has been a great instructor! He's flexible, reliable and friendly. His teaching techniques are great, and his manner makes you feel relaxed and at ease. He understands individual needs, and made it his business to understand what worked for me. I used to find driving stressful and tiring, but now it's a joy. Today I passed my driving test first time, thanks to Andy Riley. Andy, I can't thank you enough for your time, patience and trust which enabled me to pass my test and become a safe driver which was most important to me. I recently passed my test first time with Andy Riley. I had been with a different instructor previously for over a year and failed two tests. I was with Andy for 3 months and was very pleased to pass, i am a very shy nervous person and never thought i would pass as i dont have much confidence either. I would recommend Andy to anybody wanting to take automatic lessons, he is very patient, friendly and is always cracking jokes the best instructor ive had by far thankyou Andy.

I've been learning to drive on and off for 10 years now. I switched to learning in an automatic with Andy last September and just passed my test yesterday. Andy has been brilliant, very patient with my tons of questions and has helped me become confident in my ability to drive. I am currently taking driving lessons with Andy - Instead of waiting until I have 'passed' to write a testimonial, I felt that it was worth mentioning now how much I was enjoying my lessons. This and the fact that I am actually ‘contemplating’ the prospect of ‘passing’ my test is a huge credit to Andy.I have taken several lessons with several instructors on and off over the years, but always felt that learning to drive was something that I needed do to, and just get on with – with my previous instructors this was very much re affirmed, instead of ‘learning to drive’ actually being an ‘enjoyable’ experience! Andy has managed to offer me a positive balance of both! I think the key to this is his personality and his ability to ‘engage’ with his pupils. So thanks so far Andy! Look forward to my next lesson!

I been learning to drive on and very much off since I was 18, but always gave up as I felt too nervous and lacked confidence. When I turned 39 I made a decision to pass my test before my 40th. I instantly felt at ease with Andy and he made me really believe that I could actually do it. I passed today 3 months before my 40th, it still hasn,t sunk in. I will always be eternally grateful to Andy, without him I know I wouldn't have got through it. He is definately the best instuctor I have ever been with and there is no one else I would recommend. Andy Riley is the best instructor i ever had. From the beginning i stuck with him to learn driving confidently. I took breaks while i became pregnant but again i returned to Andy and he taught me well and i gained confidence in myself. Andy encouraged me and told me that i was more than capable of passing my test and that i was ready to give the test a go. I passed 2 days ago!. Andy knew how desperately i needed this. so hats off to you Andy. You are the best driving teacher for me. Just passed my test today with great thanks to andy! I havent been driving with him too long but he reassured me that i would pass and i did. He is a very nice and friendly person who has encouraged me well, even when I was at my lowest point he kept me going. During lessons we was able to have a laugh too! He was very understanding of my dyslexia. I have been learning to drive for three years and I was never ready for my test,I was with Andy for a few months and I passed, first time too!! I highly recommend Andy to anyone, you want to learn to drive then hes the best! high five!! lol. He is very outgoing and supportive and thats what you need, and when I had to cancel a lesson he was understanding. I had been learning to drive on and off since i was 17 years old, but kept putting it off everytime i got pregnant, but this time after my divorce i finally decided to put myself first and my children, I decided to go with automatic tuition because i suffer from arthritis in my leg, and thought better to drive an automatic than worry bout going for an automatic car later, anyway, cut to the chase, when I started taking lesson's with Andy, he was with bsm, but when he left bsm to go solo i stuck with him, why? cos he's a totally fab instructor, very patient, friendly, he will make you feel comfortable and totally at ease with your driving, nervous about anything? roundabouts? idiot driver's getting too close or intimidating you? huge lorries? tell him he will help you overcome your fears and make you feel safe and confortable during your lesson and on the road, I passed 1st time with him and I have now been driving just over two years, thank you Andy for being the best instructor ever!
I had been putting off learning to drive for many years and decided to give Automatic lessons a shot and choosing Andy’s school was one of the best decisions I made. Andy makes you feel very comfortable and soon becomes a good friend as well as an instructor over the course of lessons and gives you confidence to succeed. I was driving in the Caribbean for a number of years and have an overseas license, but to achieve my British license i had to do driving lessons in the UK. I am very happy my lessons were with Mr. Riley,(who keeps saying call me Andy) but i have a high degree of respect for him.He is an excellent Driving Instructor, a true professional, always on time, friendly, calm, very encouraging and gives praises when its due. I was hesitant and nervous but he hepled me get rid of my bad driving habits and showed me excellent techniques in my manoeuvres.He knows exactly when you are ready for your test, which i later found out and passed the second time round. Thanks Andy you have taught me a life skill for which i am truely greatful.
I found Andy Riley to be a very nice, friendly and patient instructor right from the first lesson. He helped me a lot by diffusing tense situations very quickly by using humour. I was a very nervous person at the beginning, but Andy helped to change that. His best attribute is reinforcement and praise of tasks done well, in a way that inspires and builds further levels of confidence. I passed my test over 25 years ago and drove for only one year I was always so nervous I just gave it up as a bad job. I was terrified at the prospect of having to start driving again, but Andy was brilliant! His calm, patient approach got me back on the road, and now one year later, not only am I still driving, I am driving confidently. Well what can I say apart from Andy is pure genius!! After having a serious car accident my confidence in driving was at its worst. When the day of the lessons used to come I used to dread it, but within 10 mins Andy had put me at ease and then the fun began. The lessons used to go so fast. Then i chanced upon a small ad offering automatic instruction and decided to give it another go.And im so pleased i did. Andy Riley is one of the best driving instructers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. After many other driving instructers I met who told me I would never pass I finally met Andy who reassured me and told me that I can pass. After my first lesson we were like best friends, he gave me a timeline of when I will achieve my goal. Andy was one hundred percent correct with his estimation. Andy Riley taught me to drive and got me through my test. He made learning to drive easy and fun, if it wasn't for Andy i would never have done it.
