Andy Riley is a fully qualified 'automatic' driving instructor covering
He is one of the few instructors around who specialises in teaching drivers how to drive an automatic car - and as well as being a Grade 5 DSA approved driving instructor, he is understanding and patient and able to put clients at ease, ensuring that learning to drive is a safe and enjoyable experience.
Andy has over seven years' experience in giving driving lessons to learner drivers and has an enviable first time pass rate.
He can help clients of all abilities and standards including:

Learner drivers
Andy can see you through learner driver courses from beginning to end, whether you're a complete beginner or you've had some driving experience.
This includes helping you through the theory test, the hazard perception test and the highway code and Andy will provide a disk which includes a specimen test. The disk can be loaded onto an ipod or mp3 player - an ideal way to learn!
Automatic driving tuition for disabled drivers
Andy is able to teach disabled drivers with a range of disabilities. He uses an automatic vehicle with motability adaptations.
He has taught people to drive with diverse conditions such as dyslexia, dyspraxia' cerebral palsy and Asperger's Syndrome - and also people who are paralysed with no lower body movement or who have had a limb amputated. There really is no bar on learning to drive!
He will give a full assessment of the new driver's needs and then devise a tailored programme of driving tuition.
Andy's automatic vehicle can be easily adapted with hand controls, push controls and even an infra-red box. Please ask for details when you contact the driving school.

Other driving tuition includes:
- Motorway confidence - please allow at least two hours for motorway training

- 1 hour - £25.00.
- 1.5 hours - £36.00
- 2 hours - £46.00
Andy also offers five hour long lessons to really help you gain your confidence behind the wheel. These cost £120, or you can have ten hour long lessons for £230.
Payment by Cash Only please - cheques no longer accepted.
Hours are flexible to suit you - Mondays to Saturdays including weekday evenings.
Pass Plus tuition is also available on Sundays.
The Theory test disk and Highway Code are FREE to new pupils following completion of 8 hours of driving tuition.

I too past my test first time yesterday, Andy gave me confidence to believe in myself, he was patient and made my lessons enjoyable. After I had started my lessons I bought my own car, I felt I wanted to learn in my own car, which was ok with Andy this boosted my confidence no end. Andy explains things in a way that is easy to understand, being a mature lady I didn't find learning to drive easy, but I would recommend Andy to any who wants to enjoy learning to drive. Passed first time with Andy yesterday! Would definitely recommend Andy as an instructor. He makes manouveres easy to understand, which was a benefit for me since the instructor I had before Andy was over-complicating things and kept forgetting what I had already done. Andy is easy to get along with and will look after you. Hoping to do my Pass Plus with him in a few weeks!
I was amazed when I passed my test on Friday. Before I started my lessons with Andy I was terrified of driving and I thought I could never do it. Andy kept telling me that I could and gave me the confidence to keep going. He is reliable, calm and understanding and never lost his patience even after showing me for the 100th time how to reverse around a corner! If I can pass with Andy then anyone can!
Andy is very patient and understanding driving instructor who put me at ease with his great sense of humour and a positive approach. Previously I had not driven for a year and lacked confidence and needed some refresher lessons. I'd already started learning to drive years ago & gave up due to a bad instructor that put me off. I started lessons with Andy and it was completely different. He makes you feel at ease behind the wheel & is a laugh to learn with. I passed my test a couple of days ago thanks to Andy! Great instructor to learn with :)
Ahh, where should i start uncle Andy, he is one the best driving instruction i ve never had trust me i had few. He has a fantastic sense of humour and always make u comfortable. Passed my test first time today!! Yeeaay!! Andy is a brilliant instructor,friendly,funny,easy to get along with,listens to your concerns and offers great advice! I passed my test first time on 8 March 2013 with only 2 minors thanks to Andy. His driving tips are easy to remember and with structured lessons I felt much more confident in no time. He made me feel very calm on the day of my test and it felt simple like he said it would. Thankyou very much.
From an extremely nervous novice to passing first time, none of the confidence and skill i now have would have been achievable without the best instructor. Andy has been that for me! Firm but fair, funny and calm, his approachable manner and patience and his fantastic driving tips have transformed somebody who, at over 40, thought driving was never a skill they would acquire. A miracle worker - and he even coped with all my new rules for roads and how I thought they should work!!
Tim took his test Wednesday 16th January 2013 and passed FIRST TIME!! From the very first lesson Andy put him at ease. Well what can I say but THANKYOU for all the fantastic help you have given me, I realy didnt think it would have been possible to teach me to drive as when I started having lessons my confidence was very low,over the weeks he made me believe maybe I could do this and pass my test and yesterday 12/12/12 I did just that!!! Andy puts you at ease and he is the perfect driving instructor.I have a back condition and he always made sure I was comfortable when driving and I know it sounds stupid but I will miss my driving lessons on a Thursday afternoon!!! Andy is the best! My first instructor was horrible and abusive, but Andy came to the rescue!!! And I passed today 22 November 2012 first attempt! He is calm, kind, friendly, but at the same time firm and in control. He always supported me and gave me confidence. THANK YOU ANDY!!!!
Test Passed Wednesday 7th November 2012 Ms Helen Louise Phayer Whoop Whoop. Andy is as superb instructor. If it wasnt for his encouragement and patience I would have given up learning a long time ago but thanks to him I am now the proud owner of a PINK licence and passed FIRST time. I would recommend Andy to anyone who is thinking about learning to drive. If he can teach me and I passed first time (I think I was the worlds worst and most nervous driver) he can teach you to drive too. One word "Fabulous". p.s. Andy is an AMAZING guy. I was so scared the first time i got in his car i was shaking but within 2 lessons he had me on main roads because he gave me so much confidence, and have now passed me test just 9 months later. He is a great instuctor and puts everything in such a good way you can remember them. Andy is also a fab gentleman, he made me feel so comfortable and at ease it was more like driving round with a friend. Well what can i say Andrew(No you hav'nt been naughty)Im a 53 year old Lady(Some would say not)and had given up any idea of learning to drive until a friend suggested learning in an automatic.I found Andy Riley on the internet.From the first to last lesson Andy Riley made me feel totally at ease and his calm and reassuring manner was second to none(at times i must have driven him to distraction)He was totally professional.I passed my test first time,with only one minor.I would not hesitate to recomend Andy Riley and can not thank him enough for the FREEDOM he has given me.TOP LAD and CHEERS.
When it comes to driving I think one name- "Andy Riley". I have had 3 driving instructors and by far Andy is the best. He is supportive, friendly and kind. He makes driving fun and everything is easy to remember. I am so thankful to Andy for getting me through my test. The self proclaimed 'most nervous/scared/hesitant person on the planet' (quoting from my first lesson) has passed their driving test FIRST TIME and would never have done it without Andy!From the very first lesson, I knew I'd made the right choice after Andy had been highly recommended to me by another first time passer of his. just passed my test this morning with Andy Riley, and I couldn't be more happier. Andy is the most talented instructor you could meet, he can empathise how a student feels in situations and guide you through it better then anyone, I have had previous instructors but Andy is by far the best 10/10! I don't know how to thank you Andy !I passed First time.My husband recommended Andy to me as he had driving lessons with him and passed first time three years ago.I even couldn't imagine to pass first time, had some lessons with Andy, not many actually and went for the test and passed first time.Andy is a very kind,respectful and funny guy as teach you with smile and patient.He knows how to teach you and you can realize the difference soon after first few lessons.I recommend him to anybody who wants to pass first time.
