I went here for lunch with my partner because of all the glowing testimonials, both for the food and the service.

Well, it was definitely a game of two halves.

First the food and the place. Nice looking inside, clean, with white cotton tablecloths and napkins. We had a mixture of the hot and cold Meze for our meal - a total of about 7 dishes. All were beautifully fresh. Really, some of the nicest food of this type I've ever eaten.

Then the service. The man was surly and miserable. He didn't smile once. There was no warm welcome, no encouragement when ordering drinks, no engagement when ordering the meal, and a harsh attitude when bringing over the dishes. He looked positively cross when there was no room on the table for a dish, and was brash when moving things around. Not enjoyable at all.

So theree you have it. I think we'll go back again because of the food, but it's a real shame the service puts us off.
