Thank you so much for putting me in touch with Shane at Capricorn Travel in Chiswick. I would never have got to Canada without him….
It was 19th December 2010 and snow had grounded nearly all flights from London. Chaos reigned. Having been sent home from Heathrow twice I was beginning to think I would have to abort my long-awaited trip to Canada to spend Christmas & New Year with my daughter. Air Canada cancelled my direct flight to Vancouver and told me they probably couldn’t honour my booking until at least 27th December. Another booking made online would take me to Seattle but via Chicago and with possibly not enough time to make the connection. On arrival at the airport for the second day running I was told that I hadn’t actually bought a proper ticket and the airline would not honour the booking. Terminal 3 was a hellhole.. At my wits’ end I spoke to Shane who immediately grasped the situation, seemed to know everything about weather forecasts, which airports would be working better than others and calmly assured me that he would do what he could. Within a couple of hours he had secured me a flight the next day direct to Seattle with British Airways( from lovely Terminal 5) and at an extremely good price. He talked me through everything, made sure I got the necessary visa waiver and issued a proper ticket that got me to Seattle on time. He called on the morning of departure to say that he had checked that the flight was good to go and then rang me again on my return to make sure that everything had gone well and that I had enjoyed my holiday. Having heard many stories of people whose holiday plans were ruined I know how lucky I was to have been able to get away.
The man is a miracle worker and I shall never go anywhere again without consulting him first. And neither will many of my friends……

I would like to thank you and your staff at Capricorn Travel Chiswick very much for organising my family's tickets to my sister's wedding. I fly to South Africa twice a year and have long been an Internet junkie, tracking down the cheapest fares both direct and indirect. How surpised I was that you were able to match my best efforts and still give me peace of mind that you were checking for other deatils whilst holding reservation options. In addition you gave advice on airport parking, the best travel insurance and car hire. I will certainly be recommending you to my friends.
