Horsham Salsa Information

Want to Salsa? Come along to Horsham Salsa at Shelley's bar, underneath the Superbowl on Albion Way in the centre of Horsham. 

We have exclusive use of the fully licensed dance bar for our Salsa dance classes which take place every Wednesday evening.  The venue has a state of the art sound system, air conditioning and, of course, a dance floor!

Horsham Salsa was formed in 2005 to meet the need for a Salsa club in the Horsham area of West Sussex. The approach of the club is  to promote an informal, relaxed atmosphere in the dance classes where everyone learns to dance salsa by having fun and having a go.

• Do I have to sign up for a course? The dance classes are progressive, but there is no course to sign up to, just come along.  Entry for the evening is just £7.
• Do I need to bring a partner? Come on your own or with a friend, or a group of friends. The dancers are constantly rotated so that everyone gets to dance with everyone else in their dance class so it really doesn't matter if you are on your own.
• What should I wear? Some like to dress up a bit for the occasion, others just come in what they left work in. Jeans are ok and so are full dance costumes, whatever you feel comfortable in.  As far as shoes are concerned, we do recommend that you wear something that will 'turn' on a dance floor. Trainers often have soles that won't allow you to turn that well, and as the Salsa style does involve some spinning - leather soles work better. However, there is no wrong footwear - it's what you are comfy in.
• I have two left feet, is that a problem? We pride ourselves on getting those with two left feet to salsa well in our dance classes, so don't let that put you off!
• What time are the dance classes?  Plan to arrive at around 7:30 for the beginners dance class and 9.00 p.m for the Improvers/Intermediates Dance Class.
