thebestof Hitchin is a local, Hitchin based company run by Keith and Louise Yexley, who promote local businesses and organisations through the internet, direct marketing and through word of mouth referrals. "Networking should be a part of everyones marketing strategy" says Louise, "in terms of return on investment, it's well worth putting the time in."

Cuppa Connect
Over the past year TheBestOf Hitchin networking has expanded to incorporate "Cuppa Connect" as well as our regular evening networking events. Cuppa Connect is an informal drop in drop out event and is run in collaboration with The Victoria Pub in Hitchin and Crumbly Wumblycakes.
The format is simple, turn up anytime from 9.30am to 11.30am and enjoy a cuppa and piece of cake and chatto the other local business people who have popped in too.
These informal events have proved very popular since we started running them. Do come along and try one out for yourself if you work or run a local business.

Within 20 minutes of you sending your e-shot last week, we had an enquiry for bookkeeping and within the hour we had an appointment booked.
I became a member of the Best of Hitchin having heard lots of great reports, and certainly being aware of it in my local town, Hitchin (through banners outside businesses, adverts, mailers etc). When moving to the area I was keen to find all about the local activity and their website is perfect for this! Through joining I have benefitted from a place that my clients can post comments on the service I offer, which in turn I can share with other people, as well as communicating my services along with other businesses in my local area. I can also post events and promotions that I run on their website, which is starting to generate business for me. I attend the Best of Hitchin networking events, which are always great fun and lovely to feel part of a community of other businesses, many of which can be independent people like myself, which again have benefitted me from generating some business. Each time I find out more about my local area too. I also use social media which Best of Hitchin are great at, so I will get to find out the latest piece of news or activity pretty much daily. Keith and Louise who run Best of Hitchin are also both genuinely lovely people, and itâs a pleasure to have met them through this. A great local website, activity and networking for local people â yet with a national connection!
Keith and Louise work extremely hard for the businesses in Hitchin. Always friendly, smiling and obliging. All of their events are fantastic!
I would also like to add that this was Cuppa Connect was a REALLY good event. I met some great people and really look forward to the next one. Louise as always is the perfect hostess warmly welcoming everyone.

The networking cuppa connect events are brilliant for those of us working for ourselves, mixing with other like minded local people in business in this informal way are a great source of inspiration and positive networking. Thank you for a great evening. For my first networking event I would say it went brilliantly. Although at the start I was a little overwhelmed, by the end I had only managed one mouthful of food because I was too busy chatting! I felt I made some useful contacts and had an enjoyable evening. As it's Valentine's day I thought I would show some love for our wonderful Keith & Louise from Best of Hitchin. I am constantly stunned how much effort they put in for all their members. I know no other promoter/ marketing company that constantly thinks so much about getting you noticed and talked about. From blogs, tweets, networking to plain old word of mouth - they do it all and they do it so well. So if you are looking for ideas to help boost business go no further, they are the "Best of" the best.

I joined Best of Hitchin in November to promote a new childrens clinic within my osteopathic practice. I think that most would agree that the Best of Hitchin website is dynamic â constantly updated, interesting and a great source of information for whatâs going on in and around Hitchin from concerts, bee-keeping workshops, to listings for mother and babies groups and for promoting local businesses. I am glad to be a part of that. Keith and Louise are very approachable and, for want of a more English term, great facilitators of networking events if the recent meeting at Blakemore House was anything to go by â great venue and food and just a really conducive atmosphere to meet other local business folk. Thereâs a lot of hard work that goes on behind the scenes with Keith & Louise and their team and it shows.

The best thing about The Best of Hitchin...... Louise and Keith... I know with experience that "The best of" does not always work from town to town without the passion that Louise and Keith both have!! They do an amazing job, and are always there to help no matter what it is!! Even when Keith has man flu, he is still out and about making us all smile :-) Thank you Keith and Louise for everything you do for us and for Hitchin our great town!!
'The Best Of Hitchin are a very focused and dedicated team. We have been very impressed with the care and attention we have received from both Louise and Keith. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they are always helpful to work with and patient. Keith and Louise work so hard for us little old Hitchin businesses! I love the different ways that they have offered to promote our business - not just online, but through the door drop and offers. The networking events that they put togther are also fantastic - much better than so many other "open" type networking events I have ever been to.
