It's the highlight of the year for many Hitchin residents, bringing together all ages for a weekend of music, food and fun.
Rhythms is such a great local event - it brings together the whole community, young and old. We all look forward to Rhythms, which is the highlight of our Hitchin year!
- It's a celebration of cultural diversity.- It's a brilliant launchpad for up and coming artists from the region and across the world.- It brings world famous acts to our doorstep.- It brings the local community closer together.
It's amazing that we're able to have a decent and unique music festival every year right in our town centre. You wouldn't think that Hitchin would be big enough to have a festival the size of ROTW but we do!
I just love the fact that it brings the whole community together regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or taste in music! I have bought music from some of the bands/individuals who i have seen there (and wouldn't have heard about them otherwise). I have met friends and acquaintancies there who I hadn't seen for a long time. Friends and family beg to come and stay with us (and book a bed-space months in advance!) because they say it is the most friendly festival they have been to. I put the date in my diary and nothing, but NOTHING would be seen as a preferable place to be (not even a date with Brad Pitt). It truly is an event that brings everyone together. I am truly blessed to live where its at! Thank you.
You can't not love rhythms and what it does to the community. It brings everyone together in a safe fun and happy atmosphere to enjoy a weekend most of us spend all year looking forward to. I i have been every year for 11 years and I have no plans to miss any in the future. The organisers and volunteers deserve a medal Long Live ROTW XX
Fanastic two days of music, events and conversation from around the world. Local bands mix with acts from faraway places with an aim to entertain and enjoy. All ages can find something to suit and challenge their tastes. Great for families too. Sunday's best. bit more chilled but I shouldn't tell you that.Nettlebed Blue.
I love Rhythms of the World for providing diverse entertainment to help the community be open-minded and friendly. I love the way it encourages local people to be involved in an event, something they may not have the opportunity to do anywhere else. The work done by ROTW brings the town together.
It brings the community together in a way nothing else in the area does.
The Festival is the fantastic achievement of a huge amount of volunteers from the local area and brings together people from all walks of life. The site is stunning and the music and other entertainment ranges through so many genres it appeals to all. I love it and from the popularity of it over the last 20 years I would say that it is loved by many more too!!
An amazing organisation which puts on a fantastic music festival for the local community. Something for all ages and musical tastes. Fab!
It's a great event for the whole community, with a wide variety of music, more thoughtful discussions, children's events, not to mention lots of food stalls!
Rhythms brings all manner, shape and size of people together for the love of a fantastic mix of music. Whether you like folk, ethnic, jazz, club or rock music there's loads for everyone. With a great, fun atmosphere, many local businesses represented and every type of food imaginable it is a grand music festival on a modest scale. Long may it continue! (And why not help make sure it does by volunteering - I've been a steward the last 3 years and really enjoyed it ;-)
You just have to experience this festival! Relaxed family atmosphere makes this the best festival for all ages and for all styles.
I've been a volunteer at Rhythms for 5 years. The friendliness and teamwork shown by all the volunteers make it such a fantastic experience and one I want to repeat for many years to come.Chris.
I've been going to rotw since the Oxfam days and now volunteer too My family and I had a wonderful time this weekend - well done everyone involved for another FAB festival! See you all next year! Phaedra XX
I've been attending Rhythms of the World for many years and decided this year to join in and volunteer. If you want to get a chance to get more involved with a great event in a great town, this is definitely worth looking at.Everyone has been so welcoming and friendly and I'm really looking forward to all the fun to come!
Rhythms of the World is a local charity which organises a fantastic festival every summer. It is organised entirely by volunteers and involves all sectors of the community.
The Rhythms festival is a wonderful day out! There's a big variety of music, there's delicious food from all over the world, there's plenty of jewellery and clothes stalls to browse round, and space to relax and picnic in. You can relax and unwind in the beautiful grounds of the Priory. Totally rejuvenating!
brings together people from all the world through music
It brings people from all over the world together through music
It's great event and a lovely venue for it. The atmosphere is brilliant and I'd recommend it to anyone!
I have been involved as a volunteer for Rhythms of the World for 5 years. It's absolutely amazing what a group of volunteers can do. Such a professional and fantastic event. Isn't it great to invite all your family and friends to it for the weekend? It's been good for making friends from all sectors of the community.
I've been to every Rhythms festival since the Oxfam days and I remain amazed at so many people giving so much time for no reward other than the pleasure of being involved. There is no festival like it for family friendliness, variety of music, value for money and richness of experience. It just keeps getting better ... and it's in Hitchin! The town should be very, very proud and so should all those who contribute to the organisation. Geoff I.
I went to this fantastic music event at the Priory in Hitchin last summer with my husband, 4 year old daughter and some of our local friends. The venue was amazing, the music was very diverse and a real professional setup. The food was delicous and an amazing variety to choose from. My daughter loved it as there were loads of activities for kids as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and will definately be returning this year again!
ROTW was wicked this year. There was loads of things to do and lots of choices of various foods to eat. The atmosphere was great and the weather was nice and hot. Can't wait until next year!!
Rhythms of The World is such a fantastic example of community. Don't get me wrong, there is LOTS of fun to be had, and the musical line-up is always brilliant, but the best thing is definitely be part of something that brings so many people together.Bring on 2010!
A great day out for all the family fantastic bands.
Rhythms is always a fantastic weekend. Many different types of music from all over the world, food stalls and craft stalls too. Glad that it has moved to The Priory which will give more space and places to picnic. Looking forward to this yearʼs festival.
