Both Jackie and Zoe at Hitchin were absolutely wonderful. I was given information and advice in a most sympathetic manner. I had to make arrangements alone, without other family members with me and Zoe helped me every step of the way. She was like my guardian angel and I was so grateful. She made a very difficult time easy. People who attended the service at Golders Green said it was the best funeral they had been to!

The driver of our limousne in the first car was exceptionally understanding and made me and our family feel bery comfortable. In fact we were enabled to leave a few smiles after the funeral. Charming young man.

Every member of staff made that extra effort to ensure we felt welcome and included in the proceedings. The man that walked in front of the car and then drove us home too the time to collect the cards from the flowers and a rose and gtave them to my mother, he also made sure that all the cars that followed us home, that didn't know the directions were able to keep behind him through directing the traffice. This showed what Austins is all about. You went above and beyond our expectations making a time of grief, truely manageable. We were also very impressed with your choice of vicar. Thank you for making the funeral special.

The wildflower heart is particularly appreciated as we live so far away from the cemetry. It wll make us feel closer to Dad - many thanks for your thoughtfulness.

The care and help that Carol gave us at the start was so good and understanding. The little booklet was so good because no-one knew abou the 'doves' and they were brilliant. The whole service and everyone who took part showed such respect and kindness to my late husband and myself and sons. You had no problems doing anything we asked and on that day it was a wonderful tribute to my husband. Thank you all so much.

The care and attention shown throughout the difficult process of the funeral was exemplary. From our first contact with Carole to the funeral itself, all of your people presented themselves to the highest standard. Everything about the way that Austin's handled my late wife's funeral helped all of us in the family to deal with the painful concluding day.

Zoe Jenkins from Austins made the whole process of dealing with my father's death so much easier to cope with. She was able to tell me where to find the death certificate, how to deal with registering the death and made organising the funeral seem like a normal, untraumatic part of lie, which of course it is. It was like dealing with a friend rather than a stranger.
