Anyone for Golf?

It's becoming a regular part of my working week, knocking off early and heading off to Mount Pleasant Golf Club in Lower Stondon for 9 holes of frustrated pleasure.

Adrian and I have been playing for a while now, Adrian is the owner of Doughtys Brasserie in Hitchin, and we have got to know each other through work really. More recently Steve Matthews from Parc Computers has joined us and has brought a more competitive edge to proceedings - bring it on!!!

Unfortunately we weren't able to tee off until 3:16 and Adrian had to be in the restaurant early so could't make it. Still Steve and I got the bats out and headed off like two Roman gladiators.

It was touch and go for a while but I did manage to sneak an advantage, let down by my putting, and we ended the round with some respectable, if not remarkable scores. I must admit Steve has really come on and played some really good shots but just lacked a bit of consistency.

So, if anyone out there fancies a game let me know and maybe we can start a society (crikey this reminds me of a scene from the Magnificent Seven).

Cheers

Keith
