At Once Upon a Time day nursery we take pride in providing your children with a warm, safe and stimulating environment, where they can feel happy and cared for while their parents are at work. We offer parents a strong sense of security; in the knowledge that their child will be safe and happy whilst under our care. We assist all our children to develop without the pressure associated with some forms of learning. To achieve this, our toys and equipment are carefully chosen to allow the child’s skills to be put to best use.

We work within the ‘High/Scope’ philosophy curriculum and strongly believe that children learn best from hands-on activities and active learning. Our daily routine reflects different aspects of High/Scope; this includes small and large group times, plan-do-review, stories, quiet play and greeting times. We provide breakfast, freshly cooked lunches and teas as well as snacks in the mornings and afternoons.
All day nurseries are managed by level 3 / 4 qualified staff. Our policy of continual staff development ensures staff are experienced, qualified and have a development plan to keep them up to date with new legislation. Once Upon a Time day nursery employs dedicated domestic staff for the preparation of meals and to manage the general cleaning and maintenance of the day nursery, leaving the qualified staff to provide total childcare.
