I started to train with eKuiLibrium in May 2006. I was concerned about my overall fitness levels, (as I had none!) and wanted to look after myself better. From the off the service provided was very professional and informative. When my training began I will always remember how utterly exhausted I used to feel even days after training. But that was just my body adapting to its new regime and after a few weeks I never looked back. I trained once a week with Larry for 5 1/2 years. The knowledge I gained about exercise and fitness was wonderful. Larry always tailored each session to my abilities but always ensured I was pushed and looked to beat PB times most weeks. Once Larry could see me adapting to routines he would step it up to help my continuous progression. I became so inspired I recently completed a Diploma in Personal Training. I will always recommended Larry and Kimberley as they are so enthusiastic about fitness, but always consumate professionals looking after clients.
Three years ago I was lucky enough to hear about eKuiLibriuM, and since then, on average, I have trained with Larry twice a week. Over the last thirty years, I have tried many different exercise routines, starting with aerobics, then squash, running, swimming and gym memberships. Despite all of this I can honestly say that I am fitter from Larry’s guidance than I have ever been. Larry’s workouts are varied, interesting and give a great balance between cardio, core and resistance training. Both Larry and Kimberley have developed a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in their gym, creating a perfect balance between community and privacy. The workouts are shaped carefully to each individual’s needs and abilities. I was introduced to eKuiLibriuM through networking and was very encouraged by Kimberley’s enthusiasm and willingness to understand and tailor a fitness regime to meet our needs.David and I have over the years had several personal trainers and countless gym memberships. However we both felt that the training programmes were in general very repetitive, boring and lacked understanding and attention to detail with our aims and objectives. This eventually resulted in our lack of motivation, which inevitably meant our training regimes never lasted more than 3 months.Having not been involved in any exercise for a long time I was getting concerned about my husband’s health. I would like to thank both of you for the 10 week course I attended last year.Following many years of injuries through playing Squash my exercising had become very restrictive and painful.You assessed my condition and devised a training programme which was excellent but hard work.Thanks to this programme and the alteration to my diet which was also assessed. I attended a 2 hour fitness assessment with Kimberley between Christmas and New Year 2011. She made me feel extremely welcome at their lovely studio. Kimberley is very friendly, approachable, professional and knowledgeable. She made some very useful and realistic suggestions which I could incorporate into my daily lifestyle.If I lived closer to Hertford then I would definitely train with Kimberley but being 40 mins away is just a little too far for daily / weekly training. I started using eKuiLibriuM when I was 9 years old, when I got selected for the Herts U14 golf squad. They suggested I work on my fitness levels. Since I started working with Larry, not only has my fitness improved, my concentration levels have gone up considerably. Due to working with Larry on my fitness, I have been selected for the South England Golf Team, Order Of Merit winner for Hertfordshire, and also Herts Schools Champion for U16. Larry has also helped me with my nutrition on the golf course. Larry is a very determined person and takes pleasure in seeing people achieve their goals. The Saturday morning bootcamp really is a fantastic start to the weekend.It is a challenging workout but Kimberly, along with the rest of the'bootcampers', creates a very motivated and enjoyable atmosphere. I attend weekly personal training sessions with Larry and often take advantage of the Saturday BootCamp sessions with Kimberley. They really are excellent. Sessions are tailored for your individual needs, they keep you interested and are also fun which of course helps.I was recently training for a Karate event. Both Larry and Kimberley helped me get to the level of fitness needed to get me through the event. I highly recommend them both for their expertise, passion, enthusiasm and the ability to make fitness fun.

I feel very lucky to have stumbled upon a personal trainer who genuinely knows what she is talking about. Kim is clearly extremely knowledgeable and is unbelieveably passionate about fitness and wellbeing. Her bootcamps are a no- nonsense workout punctuated by her trademark humour. eKuiLibriuM Personal Training are brilliant. I have been going to their Saturday bootcamp sessions for 6 months now and have really noticed a difference in my fitness and figure! Kim is great at motivating bootcampers in all weathers and there are lots of other tips for getting fitter through their website / twitter / facebook. The friendliness and genuine caring for your fitness and welbeing by Kimberly and Larry. Since joining their Studio I have a new outlook on fitness and nutrition. This is he first time in many years that I have enjoyed exercise, and I actually look forward to my sessions.
What can I say that the others haven't already!? Larry and Kimberley are the "Posh and Becks of personal training. Although maybe Larry should have married Mel C (Sporty Spice) to make my analogy work better! I worked with Larry in the 10 weeks run up to my 50th birthday this year and enjoyed every ab crunching,wobbly leg, cardio sweating moment of it. I can now do more things with an exercise ball than Salty the sealion :)
I attend Kim's Boot Camp sessions on a Saturday morning (8.45am to 9.50am) at Foxholes Farm and they are brilliant! Kim makes exercise fun and you can work at your own pace and ability. The Saturday morning group are a great bunch of people and we all have a good laugh whilst actually working quite hard (you feel it the next day....and the day after!) I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who is sick of the gym treadmill and wants to try something a bit different - Kim (and Larry) are great and deserve to be crowned the Best of Hertford!
I dont' really enjoy exercise! Which is why you may be surprised to see a testimonial for personal training from me. However, I do exercise because it's important to keep in shape and stay fit and healthy.And then I found Ekuilibrium - Larry and Kim - two of the nicest, most laid back and yet motivational people I have had the fortune to meet recently. They have shown me a fresh approach to exercise - and I am enjoying it. The Saturday morning boot camps are an assault on the muscles and the ears, but they are affordable, you can go whenever with no long term commitment and boy do they make you feel good.In addition, four sessions of personal training have given me a new enthusiasm for exercise with exercise mats, large balls, cowbells and medicine balls - all of which I used to detest.Everyone should try a bit of Ekuilibrium - it's good for the heart, the mind and the body.
I did a block of personal training with eKuiLibrium to try and get myself fit. I liked their approach, their encouragement and the atmosphere of their studio is very relaxed and unintimidating.They took time to understand my goals and set realistic targets and never once did I feel awkward or out of place.Kimberley and Larry strike a professional yet friendly balance - not easy to achieve but they certainly do!Really recommended.
I've been a member of each of the four main gym chains at various times over the last ten years and worked on and off with personal trainers over that time. They were all good but lacked what I've experienced with Ekuilibrium - a tailor made set of goals just for me and a strategy to nail every single one - all done with the right mix of the professional and personal, focus and good humour. I've had a long journey back to fitness after having a baby but Ekuilibrium helped give me confidence and clarity - so much so, I'm tackling my next marathon just 16 months after giving birth! The one to one sessions have really fired me up each time, and Saturday Bootcamp is a great way to start the weekend. I really couldn't recommend these guys highly enough!
Myself and my partner have been going to Equilibrium bootcamp on Saturday's since the new year in order to improve our fitness and lose weight and we have both been impressed with the sessions and the benefits we have felt from attending. It's great to be in the outdoors and is a welcome change to your usual indoor classes. For us it really helps to blow the cobwebs away and we instantly feel better and more alive in ourselves for joining in! Kim does motivate you and push you, but you also work to your own pace which is great. It's a really fun way to spend a Saturday morning with a bunch of friendly people. Definately worth getting involved!
I really enjoy eKuiLibriuM's Saturday morning bootcamp. You work as hard (or not!) as you want to. There is a very friendly atmosphere with plenty of good-natured banter between Kimberley (the trainer) and some of the regulars.Kim has a good attitude which makes keeping fit fun, and at £5 the session is very good value too.My rating relates to the session I attend on Saturdays. My goals were centred on running and Larry is an international runner who clearly empathised with my goals and was able to knowledgeably tailor my training and provide comprehensive advice. I wanted to rediscover my love and interest for running after having spent some years seeing running as a series of challenges. Additionally I wished to improve my half marathon and marathon performances. I set the goal of 3'30 for the Paris marathon. I have been inspired to take a fresh outlook and approach to my running. Larry educated me on the use of different running approaches and variations - notably use of the structured sessions in the gym and on the road. I had never used the treadmill but am now a convert knowing how to usefully approach its use. I have also learnt the benefits of speed sessions, and suitable warming-up and cooling down sessions. My love for running as a pleasure and hobby has been restored and I have now joined a running club to continue my rediscovery. My half marathon times gradually improved over the period of time with Larry and moved from 1'49 to 1'41. My goal for Paris was not achieved due to exceptional circumstances (the hottest April day in Paris for 60 years). I would conclude that I had achieved my primary goal. I am an experienced runner and Larry was able to introduce new methods and variety to my training based on his extensive knowledge and experience. My sessions were largely focussed on use of the treadmill and Larry was able to set my performance targets to stretch me but not leave me lying on the floor exhausted! Kevin – keen runner
When I “joined up” in January there was just four months to my daughters wedding and our holiday in Mexico. I wanted to tone up and improve my general fitness level before the “big day”. I had been to an open day and was impressed by Kim and Larry’s friendliness and had seen the results my daughter had achieved.I wanted to tone up and be fitter. I had also started to run, well jog really, and obviously wanted to improve on the length of time on each outing. Kim encouraged me on this and also advised on the best way to tackle training. My husband James gave me some sessions as a present because he knew I needed a ‘kick start’ to get back to my previous level of fitness. Believing I’m a reasonably disciplined person I was very cynical of personal training. What could a trainer do for me that I couldn’t do myself? Due to an enthusiastic recommendation of a friend who said that Kimberley and Larry “made fitness training fun” I decided to give personal training with eKuiLibriuM a go.
