Halloween in Hertford, it's all about the food!

Welcome to the Hertford blog.

Halloween, as we know has grown in popularity massively in recent years.  Once this American holiday was celebrated with a lone Pumpkin engraved with a sinister/comical face, placed in the window for an evening.  But now Halloween is the night of excitement, sweets, scary costumes and of course.....food!

It’s with the later of those above we are going to stick with, because once you get in from trawling Hertford’s streets trick or treating with your kids you’re going to want something fitting, warming and importantly tasty to enjoy as your evening meal.

So in true ‘thebestof Hertford’ style, here’s a recipe for Pumpkin Risotto, courtesy of the BBC Goodfood Website to warm the cockles and put a smile on your families face!

Just click here to go the site and get the recipe.

Don’t forget, there’s a lot more choice and flavour available if you take a few extra minutes to shop at local grocers and markets rather than supermarkets. Your taste buds will thank you for it!

Thanks for reading, enjoy Halloween!
