Transferable Skills
Team Building and Ropes Courses - why do they work?
All the activities are of a practical nature and can be readily transferred back to the work place. Many traditional Training Courses rely on delegates assuming roles to create a situation, which has some similarity to work. By using the ropes course individuals are not forced into a 'role' but are themselves and unable to hide behind the excuse "I'm not really like that".
Dutch Activity Tower
There are 3 outside faces to the tower, which have room for 18 people to climb a variety of routes. The inside of the tower is used for abseiling.
Fun
All ropes course activities contain a significant element of enjoyment. People like to be involved. This increases motivation and commitment to learning.
One of our most challenging team events is "High All Aboard" where up to twelve participants work together as a team to stand simultaneously on the small, high, platform together.

This challenge enables a team of up 12 to set themselves a real physical and mental challenge to climb the oversized ladder, bridging the ever increasing gaps between rungs. Your team will require a great deal of determination and a desire to succeed.

The Taste for Adventure Centre in Hereford is a registered Charity aimed at the social inclusion and the enhancement of the lives of disadvantaged young people through the medium of adventurous, outdoor activities. It was founded by J H "Brummie" Stokes MBE BEM in 1991. After 30 years of 'living on the edge' Brummie wanted to help less privileged young people fulfil their potential through the medium of outdoor challenge.
