Good coffee, good service

We called in for a break on the way back from a week's holiday in Cornwall. Looked at a few places to eat and were either disappointed by the look of the places/menus or they had stopped serving lunch. Fortunately we found Caffe Eleganza and were welcomed in by very friendly staff. The food we had was excellent and the service first class. I don't write this sort of stuff normally, but I have no hesitation in recommending this cafe. You will not be disappointed I can assure you. Anne C (Wirral)

The coffee here is first class. The staff are pleasant and prices reasonable. This is by far the best cafe in Ross-on-Wye and deserves a pat on the back for bringing some much needed class to the town.

Our favourite Ross-on-Wye cafe is Caffe Eleganza. It certainly lives up to its name with lovely decor and pleasant atmosphere. The coffee is great, we really like the latte and the americano, but it's all according to taste. Our favourite meals are the La Tasco (the toasted Italian flatbread) with gammon ham, mature cheddar, sliced tomato and chutney, or chicken caesar with mayo, lettuce, parmesan shavings, and chutney. If you have a sweet tooth, then their carrot cake is well worth trying, it's delicious. There's plenty to choose from on the menu. The service is really good: helpful, efficient, and friendly.

So if you're ever in the area, Caffe Eleganza is well worth visiting. Make the most of our little town whilst you're here.

Excellent coffee - and a real breath of fresh air in what has hitherto been something of a coffee no-go area. Bit like Guinness in Ireland: a quality product served with the care it deserves, and that's what makes the difference. For us a coffee at Cafe Eleganza is a must on trip into Ross; and trips there have been known to be arranged simply for the coffee - it's that good
