Sales of high quality, donated goods take place every three weeks and the proceeds are used to support the work of Sue Ryder Care. We accept donated goods during the week between 9.00 am and 12.30 pm, Monday to Friday. Goods can also be left in the stable yard at weekends but please be aware that there is no help over the weekend period. We regret that we are unable to accept donated goods the day before a sale or on a sale day.
Goods that we do not accept include the following:-
Beds/Mattresses
Washing machines
Unassembled Furniture
Cookers or Hobs
Knitting machines
Electric Fires
Magazines
Black & White TV sets
Kilner Jars
Electric Fires
Electric blankets, Foot Warmers etc
Odd glasses/cups
Glass Demi-Johns
Ladies hair remover and other hygiene appliances
Heated rollers
Childrens car seats
Riding/crash helmets
Large black music centres
Old suitcases (ones without wheels)
Computer Monitors and keyboards (we do recycle parts from computer cases)
Wallpaper
Wine making equipment
Electric typewriters
Wheelchairs
Coffee perculators
Walking frames
Gas appliances - cookers, fires
Bath mats
Modern sideboards
All electrical goods should be in 'as new' condition not damaged, cracked or fraying cables
